the sapphire screens are incredibly resilient. mine looks brand new and is several years old. tested against plenty of bouldering

sending a human there also contaminates the planet more, allowing us to learn less.

Dune, Children of Time, Neuromancer and Blindsight.

for "sci-fi" that reads like fantasy, the Sun Eater series is really fun.

neither do LLMs.

at scale, data centers use cooling towers with fresh water, not a closed loop liquid cooling system.

anyone have an alternate link?

There are no audits, there are no reports, there is little to no transparency with DOGE. They're gutting first, thinking later and it's costing us a ton. How can you trust an administration to expose corrupt spending when they freeze the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act?
Re:Sigma BF Camera on Wednesday February 26, 2025 @09:00AM (#43183651)
that's fair. i was whack. one of my favorite lenses is a Sigma, i was just comparing to Leica and let some bias slip in.
Re:Sigma BF Camera on Tuesday February 25, 2025 @04:24PM (#43177634)
do you want interchangeable lenses and a full frame sensor as well?
Re:Sigma BF Camera on Tuesday February 25, 2025 @03:35PM (#43177034)
Would you mind answering those questions? I love photography and when looking over a camera can get an idea around strengths/weaknesses. This seems like they wanted to cheap out on construction with fewer physical controls and still be able to advertise as a compact FF camera despite having a low MP sensor.
Re:Sigma BF Camera on Tuesday February 25, 2025 @03:33PM (#43177002)
I think those folks would rather buy a Leica/Ricoh. what does this offer? worse glass, sensor, controls. I really don't get this camera.
Re:Sigma BF Camera on Tuesday February 25, 2025 @03:31PM (#43176979)
also a 24mp FF sensor in 2024. is this supposed to be targeting lowlight photography?

i think you have your numbers flipped, but for me personally no commute is worth the drop in stress and increase in free time
how did you reset the algo?
having lights on during the day absolutely helps, especially when overcast or foggy.
I hadn't thought eavesdropping was possible given the programming of siri and the architecture of the hardware. Does this settling mean that Apple is guilty?

odd, i'm also on latest but it was enabled
I found it funny that your phrase: Low Information High Satisfaction > L.I.H.S. is a homonym with "lies".

Great phrase btw

i use nextdns and don't have any ads on the site.
the food i've gotten at konbini in japan is on par with specialty gas stations, such as KwikTrip, Casey's, Wawa or Buc-ees in the US. I don't trust food at my 7-11 at home. in japan they get shipments of fresh food _at least_ daily. Soba, onigiri, sandwiches aren't necessarily junk food but they had plenty of those options as well. The US is only junk food.
that isn't walking back that we're on the brink of breaching the 7th boundary. it just adds more detail into what these boundaries are.
my garmin is currently low and i have 4 days of battery life or 2-3 long runs with gps and bluetooth enable left. with physical shortcuts to payment and timers, i haven't worn my apple watch in weeks

are these actually scary leaks? in the article they say they'd be fine even if the leak were 100x the size.
Re:A ChatGPT mistake cost us $10k on Sunday June 09, 2024 @05:49PM (#40627909)
either way it sounds like they're stuck with poor testing around their code. that shows the devs probably don't understand the code which means fixing or changing things in the future will take longer.
per the article: up to 13g or 3x the size of a normal earthworm. the photo in the article shows one that's just shy of two hand lengths.
when i said that it is still done without computational editing, i didn't mean that all astrophotography is done without it. i means that some is done without it
