Re:Wayland desktop for Linux with skeuomorphic design on Friday October 16, 2026 @11:42AM (#50119798)
It's cute. I'd use it if it's stable. It reminds me of BeOS/Haiku for some reason.
PCI compliance is a joke. That isn't even close to good enough. I'll break all your PCI compliant stuff trivially.
It's nothing like EUV.

> Microsoft does not have that capability. Google does not have that capability. Linux does not have that capability. Amazon does not have that capability. Apple does not have that capability. Cisco does not have that capability. IBM does not have that capability. etc

This is all by choice. They could easily have that capsbility, very unlike EUV.

This is why I quit. You're all (excepting the parent) absolutely delusional. Computer security is literally snake oil. We know how to do things right but we refuse to because it's too expensive.
Re:Record-High 89% in U.S. Say Government Corruption Widespread on Saturday September 05, 2026 @01:00AM (#49573214)
Reading things like this help me understand how so many people fall for scams. You're so extremely trusting that it's hard to wrap my mind around... I can't relate on any level.
Re:Tmp.0ut, Vol. 5 on Monday August 31, 2026 @05:11PM (#49514884)
Wow, it's been a while since anyone published anything this interesting.
Almost all, anyway.
By that logic, you think all Muslims should be punished for 9/11.
Not just software but online services. That would help us a lot and is safer anyway.
Re:Mushroom behind 'tiny people' hallucinations identified on Thursday August 13, 2026 @04:05AM (#49283010)
Nothing like that in Europe? Explain gnomes and ferries.
Sounds great, get more people to go to systemd alternatives :D
Fuck that. Competition and diversity is way better. Anyine who fucks up can just change their laws later.
Incorrect. GNU/Linux includes userland while Linux doesn't.
Re:OpenChamber: An Agentic Development Environment on Sunday August 09, 2026 @04:31PM (#49235524)
Increasingly? It sounds like you've never heard of the Open Group or open architecture. Some of the oldest uses are some of the weakest.

Always beleive the record...
Re:NetBSD 11.0 on Tuesday August 04, 2026 @10:40AM (#49169659)
Regardless of the reason, it still doesn't have Bluetooth, so I still can't use it.
Re:NetBSD 11.0 on Saturday August 01, 2026 @03:24PM (#49137551)
Does it have Bluetooth, because OpenBSD still doesn't.

Re:Using sed to make indexes for books (long) on Monday July 27, 2026 @11:43AM (#49071225)
More articles from the 90s please.
In Sweden we're going to literally have Minority Report style pre-crime registries for potential child molesters. We already have one for potential domestic abusers. Fuck this country. I need to get out of here before it gets worse.
I mean it's definitely possible to call yourself that, but I'd argue no, it's not possible to actually be that.
> Nationalist, sure.

That's pretty far-right by itself. The fact that they want mass deportations should solidify it for you though.

It doesn't take much purity to not be a fascist.
Re:OS9Map on Thursday June 25, 2026 @02:06PM (#48677125)
Hmmm. I wonder what the most beefed up OS 9 computer would be... I loved that OS so much.
Damn, you're right. Ugh, everything else is truly molasses.
Umm, no? Citation needed.
Why does it seem like that?
It makes complete sense. Think about the opposite: When you don't feel safe, you'll want to reduce risk taking.
Re:GPT-5.5 hallucinates 3x more than MIT-licensed GLM-5.2 on Saturday June 20, 2026 @06:57AM (#48608271)
Why not? It did the work. Why should you expect it to be omniscient?

We can rank them based on how much they know and people will gravitate towards those that do know more.

It's a market after all.
