How significant is the difference in Elo scores for the end user? Should I use Claude Opus if I already have GPT4, despite its similar score?

Additionally, how much better is Claude for coding?

In my opinion science should be about Truth, the rest should be left to people and their leaders. Truth being central to the process of science is what makes science unique and allows for societies to accumulate knowledge.

No, I don't think this hypothesises agrees with observable evidence https://slimemoldtimemold.com/2021/07/07/a-chemical-hunger-p...
But there is plenty of oil in Russia! Why invade?
I think currently is all of them, until we figure it all out. The costs of obesity overweight benefits of convenience of above mentioned things. (You can argue about adenoviruses -- I've got two shots of the adenovirus based vaccine).
>This is a very strong claim that is lacking a source

They are citing overfeeding experiments.

>>Simple logic would suggest that our food is the main culprit.

Then, why does it happen in wild animals? They are not eating processed foods.

Even if the food is main culprit, it leads to the question of what is exactly wrong with the food?

p.s. we have enough data to understand overall historical trends and authors cite it:

https://voxeu.org/article/100-years-us-obesity

>>I'm usually all about investigations like this but the repeated claims that obesity is, for sure, not caused by diet is a leap.

I think authors list convincing arguments:

1) the diets on average not working for weight loss

2) experiments with overfeeding causing a little of easily revertible weight gain

3) lipostate theory with understood possible pathways

When I've tried to predict social unrest or market volatility from the news, I've found, than news actually trailing important events and are useless for any sorts of prediction.
I've considering vending, too. Could you tell something about IoT for solving above-mentioned issues?

Hard to transport.

Not if I want to really own real thing.

Of course, but you are not actually owning those commodities, then. You are not buying them and this is the point -- with bitcoin you are really in control.
Re:Bitcoin gave a shuttered coal plant a second life on Thursday May 06, 2021 @12:23PM (#27065582)
Gold is (relatively) easy to store, transfer, hard to obtain, really limited supply -- the qualities that make commodity good money. Uselessness of gold is actually useful here -- transactions with it does not distort markets. Imagine if we used coffee beans as "gold" -- then changes in monetary velocity would impact consumers, who would be forced to stash it.

Harder to store, transfer, many commodities are perishable, bulky, heavy, etc.

It is really useful for some applications, and I think it is especially useful for keeping fiat money in check. Now, I can deflect from fiat (at some costs, obviously).

What does Salesforce really do? I could never warp my head around it. Could you ELI5?
Re:Does the Universe Have Higher Dimensions? Part 1 on Monday April 12, 2021 @06:02AM (#26777709)
So this is how UFOs move!
Sadly, scientists are actually not so bright (those who are usually go to the industry or driven out by envious peers, academia is a poisonous swamp), but some of them are also narcissists, prone to have "pet theories" vulnerable to fashion and so on.

I'm scientist myself, but lucky enough to have other means to live, so I can do science (and I publish at a good rate) on my own accord.

76? I mean have you even looked at the lancet link I've given?

"Between Sept 7 and Nov 24, 2020, 21 977 adults were randomly assigned to the vaccine group (n=16 501) or the placebo group (n=5476)."
