After an hour or so of reading it's my understanding that this is only required for AGPL. Any insight is appreciated.

Ultimatley its more work for less money than you would make at even a retail job.. but if you are serious I am sure you can come up with innovative ways to drive user to your links and maybe even sign-up for trials or products. I made the bulk of my earnings from Rhapsody sign-ups using obscure music genres on MSN. While the money seems okay -- you're likely to lose quite a bit while discovering a niche -- that is if this even works anymore -- I know google was starting their own affiliate network and i see information for arbitrage being advertised by gurus on CNBC at 3AM.

I'm curious what your thoughts are. With DRM free titles from pragmatic programmers, etc. Im thinking about buying one. Only if the PDF support enables it to display tables properly. One portable device that enables me to carry around a ton of books for $500 doesnt sound like a bad idea to me.
One night on the way home from grabbing one drink I accidentally turned into a govt complex that was probably CIA or something. I figured I'd tell the guys at the gate I made the wrong turn and they'd let me leave. Low and behold I was held within the gates for 3 hours, subjected to a series of alcohol tests conducted by several feds who rolled up in unmarked black suburbans repeatedly asking me what I was doing there. At the end of all the huffing and puffing I passed every single test and was warned I got off easy as I was clearly intoxicated and next time things wouldn't go so smoothly. This was after I agreed to a voluntary search of my vehicle with hopes of just getting the hell out of there.
I don't have enough karma to create a poll, but with the upcoming movie releases of "Transcendent Man" and "The Singularity is Near" along with recent write-ups in WSJ, Time, etc. I think the mass population is starting to get doses of Kurzweil's vision of Singularity. I am currently reading 1999's "Age of Spiritual Machines" and was wondering what you guys think of his vision.. I for one...
