This is a very cool integration that allows you to easily translate your content marketing newsletter with minimum disruption from the normal Mailchimp workflow.
Can I start using the integration if I join the Beta program?
Just go to our website and join as an editor www.unbabel.com/editor
You can think about our process as a chain. A text is original machine translated, then passed to an editor. When the editor is done we pass its output to another editor. The process continues until we are confident the quality is good.

We don't use Amazon Turk. We have our own community which works on our site or on our mobile apps. This gives our editors a much better experience. We are dedicated to improve our edition interface to simplify the work of the editors.

João

Hello,

We thought about having such a widget, its on our roadmap. But not really sure when we will do it. There are a lot of cool integrations we want to make. Meanwhile if you decide to build it using the API let me know, I will super happy to help you with the API.

Joao (I'm the CTO)

Hi, I am Joao the CTO of Unbabel. That is definitely something that is on our roadmap while we improve our mt systems. We have very useful data to build better mt systems and hence improve the overall system.
Each request is split into different tasks. Each task is routed to a chain of translators until we are confident with the quality of the translation.
We can make your content anonymous by replacing the proper nouns. What kind of confidentiality were you looking for?
Hello,

Not yet, but could you send us an example?

Right now you can pass variables. We tell editors to ignore those variables. For instance if you text is "Your score is %1" and you wanted to translate to Portuguese, the translation would be "A sua pontuação é %1".

There is an endpoint to report a translation which we will release soon (it's at the end of the documentation), meanwhile you can report a translation directly to us.

We have an endpoint for bulk translations. We are working on a way to submit XLIFF and PO files directly. Part of the consistency is achieved by the first step of MT. We are working on keeping consistency between editors by propagating their changes.

I am Unbabel's CTO. Thanks for your comment. Our goal is exactly to use that feedback to improve our MT systems. We are currently outsourcing our MT, while training our own models (using Moses). Besides generating parallel text, the types of data we will be collecting (e.g. chain of editions performed by each editor on a task), will allow new and interesting algorithms to update the translation models.
