Looks good. Do you have any sample code?
We built one that gives movie/tv show suggestions with every new tab. There's a link to buy that movie on Amazon which uses our affiliate code. Here is the extension: http://goo.gl/eiYqco

It was published last month and two purchases were made through our Affiliate code, so I would say about $5/month

Multiplayer version of 2048 game with an interesting twist. Available on the App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/2048-addictive-number-puzzle...

The game is played on a single board shared between 2 players who take turns to play. The score of a player is computed by the number on the tiles that the player merges when playing his turn. The game ends when there are no moves remaining or someone reaches the 2048 tile. At this point, the player with the highest score wins the game.

Re:Ask HN: What are you working on and why is it cool? on Saturday October 26, 2013 @02:49PM (#6618664)
Shyahi (http://shyahi.com) - Your Social Homepage. Its like about.me with extended information about social profiles beautifully summarized on your profile.

Its free, easy to set up and pulls in your stats directly from Dribbble, Github, Stackoverflow, Twitter and your blog feed which means that your Shyahi profile is always up to date. This is something that's really cool about Shyahi, you set it up once and then its automatically updated based on your social activity. It provides the most precise and relevant information to your audience at one central online location. And its bootstrapped and made by two people.

MongoHQ also has a free tier. Good for getting the MVP out

The only services with my payment information are Heroku and Amazon. On Heroku, the first dyno is completely free and it doesn't increase the number of dynos automatically. But when you have heavy traffic, you can easily scale the number of dynos.

Amazon does charge automatically and doesn't have a limit on the maximum amount I want to spend, so there is a risk there. But then, its not too expensive even if I get a lot of traffic.

zoho.com looks nice. But it only gives 20 accounts on the free tier. Windows live domains, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have a limit on the number of accounts.

You can get a VM cheaply, but then you have to manage everything yourself. I don't have a lot of experience in this field and would be completely lost if something suddenly goes down or I need to scale. With Heroku and MongoHQ, you don't have to worry about these things anymore and its really easy to set up. And for someone like me who would need several hours in setting up everything on my own server, even the paid plans don't sound too expensive.
Re:I want to write about your startup on Wednesday October 09, 2013 @06:01PM (#6524177)
Just sent you a mail about Shyahi, a startup focused towards making it easier to showcase your developer contributions and social activity.

Mobile Development with Objective-C (for iOS) and Java (for Android). Objective-C has already been mentioned, so I vote for Java. I know I am inviting rants writing Java here, but using Java for Android app development is a lot of fun.
Thanks for your suggestion. We will try to make it more visible in the first screen fold.
Re:Ask HN: Share your projects and the stories behind them (Pt. 2) on Saturday September 07, 2013 @06:06PM (#6346817)
Thanks for the tip. I also added a check now to show only the users with a custom profile image in recent members list and it indeed looks much better now. Thanks again.

We are working on Shyahi - Your Social Resume (http://shyahi.com).

It all started as a discussion with my co-founder Sapan. We wanted a way to highlight our activity on StackOverflow, Github, Twitter and our blog posts while looking for jobs but couldn't find a good way to list them on our resumes or on our LinkedIn profiles. Even if we list them there, there is no way I could update it every time I do something on these sites. That's when we decided to build Shyahi.

Shyahi is a new way to build a profile to showcase your developer contributions and social activity. Its free, easy to set up and pulls in stats directly from Dribbble, Github, Stackoverflow, Twitter and your blog feed which means that the Shyahi profile is always up to date.

Thanks. Will add some new services soon. Let us know if you have some suggestions.
Re:Ask HN: Why is my Show HN post not on ask page? on Tuesday September 03, 2013 @02:08PM (#6322600)
Thanks! Didn't know that.

Ask HN: Why is my Show HN post not on ask page?

I recently submitted a Show HN post: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=6320373. I don't understand why it is still not on the 'ask' page whereas there are older Show HN posts with less points on that page. Are the links that are on the ask page managed by the moderators or did I do something wrong while posting?
