Firstly, love the website. But, I was going to send a link to a specific page/picture to someone and unfortunately cannot.

Re:The S in Rest on Tuesday August 19, 2014 @04:13PM (#8199520)
That's a very good point and I understand that. But webhat's comment makes it seem like the whole article is invalid or the example is not correct. I definitely would not consider this as an 'obvious error' with the example. Maybe bad practice. Would you say the copy/paste issue is solved if the author just does a mass replace from 'http' to 'https' on his articel?
Re:The S in Rest on Tuesday August 19, 2014 @03:42PM (#8199352)
I don't think you're getting the point of the article. It is talking about dereferencing the STATE and the VALUE portions of a RESTful API. Not what's the most secure way of sending a credit card number over TCP/IP.
Re:Show HN: ZeroKlik – sharing reimagined on Monday June 30, 2014 @01:21AM (#7963788)
Is this, in anyway, related to the unity game engine? The logos look too similar.

http://unity3d.com/

In an ideal world of BeWifi everyone will be a member and the internet will be shared between all the members. Does this mean if we all downgraded our connections to the basic offering of our choice ISP we could still get a decent connection and in return force ISPs to lower their prices for higher connections? Seems like a never ending cycle.
Re:How YouPorn Uses Redis: SFW Edition on Thursday August 01, 2013 @01:27PM (#6141926)
Thanks everyone. I came into the comments to learn what everyone thinks of their usage of Redis as a database and how their stack is set up. Now I know what's the correct way of typing Perl...
...If everyone played only once...

That's a very clever hack! I've also been using this http://pencil.asleepysamurai.com/
Re:Windows 8 is just another way for Microsoft to show you ads on Wednesday November 07, 2012 @09:29PM (#4756278)
"I’m worried about what comes next. Ads while I send email? " Why is this OK if Google GMail does it?
Re:Jack Dorsey: Today Starbucks Signed up for Square on Wednesday August 08, 2012 @02:43AM (#4354281)
While I'm happy for Square, I'm saddened that Starbucks gets special treatment. Why is Starbucks (a well known brand) getting a personal post written by Jack, when Square's "goal" is to promote and help small businesses?

Maybe a more subtle way of informing the world about this partnership was better.

Re:Sprite Cow: Generate CSS for sprite sheets on Monday July 23, 2012 @12:13AM (#4279503)
Great app, I'm sure I'll be using it. However, when I clicked on Pick Background and selected a transparent area Firefox crashed! (using the example image)

[Firefox 14.0.1 - Windows 7]

Re:2^3^4 - a comparison of math packages on Monday February 06, 2012 @04:08AM (#3556742)
On a very unrelated note when I type "(2^3)^4" in google i get "4 096" and when I type "2^3)^4" I get "4096" (notice a space gone)
Re:Ask HN: Anyone using Blekko instead of Google? on Tuesday January 31, 2012 @02:09AM (#3532222)
I find it a little ironic that I had to Google "Blekko". Aside from this, Blekko's results are not as good as Google. For me at least.
