Re:Dokku: My favorite personal serverless platform on Monday August 26, 2024 @02:50PM (#41360381)
This comment to me is another upvote to use dokku. Been a happy user for years myself. If you do need help, the discord is pretty responsive and always helpful.
Equity/profit sharing could easily be a 6th point in the article. In Europe, that's a lot less common than it is in the States though but you make a very valid point anyway.

On the other hand, isn't a CEO mostly driven by cash/profits only? For me personally, I would trade in cash for more flexibility and freedom at any time.

snap, Facebook didn't make the video public as I asked. I've uploaded it to vimeo and adjusted the post. Thanks for letting me know!
Don't know about that, I thought it was a common thing to say about life :)
Hey nnq, it took me months to master using a straight razor, but it's definitely worth it if you're willing to spend the time on it :). I could have written "take a sauna", which is equally relaxing to me, but just costs more.
I can't find that link. Can you tell me where you found that link so I can fix it?
You're right. I don't have kids, so I'm definitely interested in how your version! :)
Re:Is there a server admin guide for noobs? on Monday June 04, 2012 @10:28AM (#4064129)
Sounds exactly like the basics I'm teaching my students. It isn't all that difficult to get started with linux once you know how to approach things. Thanks for the feedback, I'll think I might get started on an ebook that clearly builds things up.

Hi! I teach Linux server administration basics in college, on Centos. I've been thinking about writing an ebook or some sort of guide for other developers to get started with Linux/Centos. Would you care to share what kind of things you'd like to learn? Are you talking about real linux basics, maintaining software, setting up Apache, ... ?
