Re:How Universities Should Prepare Founders on Tuesday August 25, 2026 @05:08AM (#49430950)
Have you studied in a business school or grinded in consultancies?
Re:Ask HN: What are you working on? (August 2026) on Monday August 10, 2026 @04:57AM (#49241140)
Building a cat themed word puzzle game with two friends.

It will have all the top word games in one place with more coming over time.

I always wanted to build games, and AI finally made it possible for us to move fast across UI, level design, coding, and even video production.

Creating an Android app of my favourite word game. Existing games are full of ads. Started coding, thanks again, thanks to AI.

Re:Is there any simple way to create a website like this? on Friday January 30, 2026 @12:29PM (#46827201)
I recently found this website, and really find it insightful. I also collect a lot of information in this format, and I'm really looking forward to sharing it. If someone can help me create a website like this, or put a domain in Google Slides, it would be really helpful. I am okay with sharing the Google site, but the summarised view on the left side of the screen is really helping me to go through different sections.
These are my friend's accounts. To be honest, I just want to reach out to maximum people. I am sorry, I know I am violating the rules. I won't post again.

Show HN: I vibe coded a word game as a game designer (no ads, just fun)

https://wordsdescrambler.com/solver/games/wordsearch/

I’m a game designer, not a developer. But I’ve always wanted to build something small, clean, and fun—without clutter, ads, or monetization pressure. So one weekend, I opened ChatGPT and vibe-coded my first playable game: a classic Word Search. Mobile-friendly. Fast. Lightweight. No logins. Just a simple grid of words for puzzle lovers. It’s all static HTML/CSS/JS, with randomized word lists....

Tried it — really smooth on mobile. Love the minimal design. Curious, how are you generating the word lists? Are they randomized or from a fixed set?

Really well articulated. I love how this breaks down strategy into simple, actionable parts especially the reminder that good strategy filters daily work and avoids waste.

Coding after a long time with the help of AI. Building small word games.

Show HN: I created a popular word game using an AI coding assistant

I have not been coding for a long time. I was exploring how I could use coding again in a fun way.I gave myself a small challenge — to build something useful and simple. Since I love word games, I decided to create one. I started writing prompts, testing outputs, and improving logic bit by bit.In a week, with the help of AI, I had a working prototype of a word game. I didn’t write all the code...

Thank you. It does but most companies don't use that.

p values are counterintuitive and it is tough to explain sometimes. This hack is a easy to explain.

Ask HN: Gaming PM with impact, poor at interviews. How to reach top companies?

I am a product manager working in a gaming company. I am very passionate about my work, and apart from my work, I have been spending 5+ hours every day reading and researching about the games. Now, my success rate of experiments is higher than my peers' and even the founders' (confirmed by them). Now the problem is I am very bad at cracking interviews. It will be around 1 in 30 interviews. In my...

How does it help?
Re:How to improve interview skill? on Friday May 30, 2025 @09:56PM (#44141364)
Honestly, it doesn't give any honest feedback or even my area of improvement. As per ChatGPT, I am always doing good.

How to improve interview skill?

I am extremely good at my work and always get great ratings. However, my interviewing skills are extremely poor. I can't express my stories during the interview. I also tend to be in a hurry. Any resources to improve it?I feel I need improvement on following things- Storytelling - Tonality - Pacing - Keeping excitement
