Haha, it goes down from 100.000 like a countdown. The faster you reach the end the higher the score. The lag might also be chrome related...a friend said it worked well on firefox.

When I was 5, I played SkyRoads and never forgot how it felt. It was one of my fav games as a child. Well...Decades later and I decided to bring that feeling back :DAstroDash is a fast, synthwave inspired racing game. I tried to take elements from SkyRoads but also F-ZERO and Super Meat Boy. Basically skill, timing, and chasing the highest score. It started as a game jam project, but I liked...

Hello HN community,I have created resumechecker.ai, an AI-powered tool for resume reviews. After speaking with 20 career coaches, it was discovered that >90% of resumes fail to impress. Most of us talk about responsibilities, not achievements. Why It Matters:

Hey Hey,I am excited to share that my AI powered resume builder is now available in French!
The whole platform is now translated after the sign up. The AI assistant can also give you suggestions and improvement tips in French for your CV :DThe builder is perfect for anyone looking to create a professional and polished resume in minutes. Simply enter your information and let the AI help you to...
I agree. I don't think the AI will or should write everything for you. That's why I call it AI Assistant. To create a good resume, you still need to put in some work. In the end, no one knows what you've done in a job better than you.
But I believe the AI can assist you to better express your experiences, especially if you are a non-native speaker like me :)
It is for sure more targeted towards startup positions. But not primarily for tech. This would also work for PO, Designers, QA etc.
Sure! You have to provide a Job Description to get a score. I process the job description and check for relevant keywords, the most important requirements and check them against your CV. Afterwards I provide a list of suggestions how you can improve your CV for that particular job.
Hope that helps.

My Indie hacking journey continues~After a bit over 2 years as a solo dev, I am proud of how far I have come with Resoume. Still all alone :DResoume is now an AI-powered resume optimization tool to help you analyze your CV. It then provides you with suggestions on how to improve your CV. On top, I also got a great set of templates with a lot of customization to make every CV unique.Resoume...
Good catch! I got it twisted around.
I always struggle with a free tier. Most people never upgrade but some still need customer support. As an indie dev this takes too much time :/
That’s why I offer 7 day money back guarantee at the moment.
Any idea how I can bridge the gap?

As crazy as it sounds, I really created my own task board because no one worked for me. There is just a huge gap between Jira (which is a mess) and something like Todoist (which is too simple). So I build 7todos for myself. A task board to fill the gap. And over time a lot of people have joined and love it as well. One of my favorite feedback"In my opinion, it does that better than all the other...
Thank you :D
I just love to build things. And deep dive into my projects.
I always wanted to start a blog but never found the time, but I try to tweet everyday about my progress and the things I build!
The images in my emails are made with Figma the rest is your basic email template builder. I think you can archive something similar with Canva :)

I am trying to validate an idea I had for a while
> The Issue:
A few friends wanted to start their own thing since the pandemic started. A business to sell clothes or digital products like ebooks etc.
But they were also intimidated or actually hesitated to pay a monthly fee just to get started. After all, you never know how long it will take to get your first customer.
> The solution:
Pay as you grow.
Slowly and steady with no risk involved.
Only pay when you make money.
But ideas are nothing without execution.
So I prepared an MVP to show how it would look like.
> Current MVP:
The demo store actually works and has a few different examples for merch, or a service, or a digital product. Some are in stock, others are not available or coming soon.
You can check the landing page here: https://tinyStore.page
And the demo store here: https://gobies.tinystore.page
Would love to hear your thoughts!
I started building 7todos.com, a task board, to get an overview of my projects.
It became quite difficult to keep track of all the tasks in different projects. I've tried tools like Trello, Jira, or simple todo apps, but they were either too complex for a single person like Jira or didn't help to manage multiple projects. So the main purpose of 7todos is to get an overview of all projects and their tasks.
I also have the concept of Lifetime for my duties. By default, it is set to 7 days. If a task is nearing its "end", it is highlighted in the overview. However, if I fail to complete the task, she will die and end up in a place called the cemetery. You have the option to revive your dead tasks if necessary.
It's a tool I made for myself, so many of the concepts aren't for everyone. But I've opened it up to others over time.
Oh, and it's free to use the Stripe integration right now, but you still get the premium account when you sign in to the atm. I collect feedback and want to know whether others like the concept.

That's a good point, I guess no one just jumps to sign up. Maybe a good CTA would be -> check out the templates.
That also does the trick! However, not everyone knows how to create a GitHub profile. And if you are not a developer, it might be a bit weird to send a GitHub profile :D
I am also a bit confused and might need a bit more details. What do you mean by founders profile?

Hey HackerNews, it's been a while!
Resoume is a platform where you can create a beautiful website, portfolio and resume for your next job interview. It is also the biggest project I worked on as a solo frontend developer with joy, love, sweat and tears
I have been working on for a bit over a year now. You may know the last post from me (or not).
It started as a resume builder but the bigger picture I had in mind was a platform to build your online presence for the job search.
Here are some of the new features:
- 14 New Beautifully Designed Templates
- A Personal Website Builder
- Analytics For Your Online Applications And Website
- Job Board
- CNAME and A Record Support
- White-Label Solution For Companies
I love to work on Resoume and I think you can tell by just looking at it.
Recently I was thinking if it might make sense to offer an API where other people/businesses could use Resoume to create resumes.
Would love to hear your thoughts :)

Hey everyone, it's been a while!
A lot has happened since my launch on HN with Resoume.
But today I wanted to present you the little brother I named Resou — the lite but free version.
2020 was not a great year for many of us. To help where I can, I decided to create a free resume builder out of Resoume.
This is also a pilot project for me. I heard once that a free product could be a great way to generate new traffic. So I thought this might be a great way to find out. Two birds with one stone.
What do you think? Is this a workable way to give something of value? Will users bother testing Resoume? I appreciate your feedback.
Best wishes, Gobie
hahaha lets spam one bot with 1000s of fake resumes :D
Ah yes, I didn't knew that a few month ago until someone mentioned it. But you have the option now to hide the picture in the templates :)
Maybe I need to highlight that somewhere in the website.
Hey hey,
Yes, I did not want to display 2-page CVs on the landing page. But apart from my CV in the middle, the rest are real applications. Not everyone has a lot of work experience when they start their journey :)
Oh, and they got the job with the CVs mentioned on the landing page.
Regarding the ATS, here is a response I gave to a similar question:
If you don't know how ATS extract data, use a text-based resume and the right keywords. A word document is most of the time, the best choice. But if you know how the data extraction works, you can play around with the layout and design. Imagine we have a scale from -4 to 4. I will put you at 1 with the template because the data can get extracted in the right order, and the keywords for the sections are right. But the rest is currently up to you. Check out the job description. What keywords are they using there? Skills mention earlier are more important than the ones at the bottom. Use them in your resume as well.
This might be true...I used it because it is one of the safest way to implement user registration. But maybe I need to introduce a solution without a social media acc.
Hmm though question.

But if you know how the data extraction works, you can play around with the layout and design. Imagine we have a scale from -4 to 4. But the rest is (currently) up to you. Read the job description correctly. What keywords are they using there? Skills mention earlier are more important than the ones at the bottom.
Whether a "pretty" resume is better than a simple text-based resume is highly subjective.
So for me, I would prefer the "pretty" one. It communicates to me that the candidate put in the extra work. Or at least a bit more effort than the simple one. But again, highly subjective. I got actually hired because the CV I created caught their eyes. It was mentioned during the interviews. That is why I created resoume :)
Hmmm...there is no "right" way to pronounce it, since it is a made up word, but I pronounce it like this: Resoume(ˈrɛzou:meɪ)
Long response, but I hope that answers your question :D
You are way too nice!
If you ever want to use Resoume, I would give you a free upgrade on your account for your help.
I would need the email you used for the registration to do so :)
You can have 5 or 10 applications at the same time. But you can iterate, delete, recreate and download them as many times as you want.
I am not a featured post but in the marketplace on AppSumo. So it is much harder to get noticed by the audience. They have different outreach stages, depending on the number of positive reviews. So in the beginning it is up to you to get five 4 star reviews. After that they will mention you in the fb group. Also the share between you and AppSumo is better I think. But not 100% sure.
Woah...Unfortunately not. I decided to use social login as it is one of the safest way to implement user registration. Do you have any social account? Maybe LinkedIn?
Otherwise, I am sure, I could add you manually, if you are interested.
