It's a pity it's USA only.

Re:Ask HN: Is Atom now dead in the water?
on Saturday November 24, 2018 @02:37AM (#18520953)
I switched to VSCode, it's as good as Atom.
Take my money!
Seriously though, I was disappointed. I was expecting more concrete news at GDC. I hope they will ship this year.

This is interesting but I would prefer to see some native Swift libraries for Data Science.

A design system from IBM. They should consider merging it with 'IBM Design Language' (https://www.ibm.com/design/language/) though.

It's quite interesting that there is no public comment from any other member of the Swift Core Team.
Re:Update on the Swift Project Lead

I didn't see that coming, very disappointing news. Definitely a loss for Apple and Swift. I really hope he will somehow stay involved with the project.

Re:AppEngine 1.5.1 Release

Kind of underwhelming in my book. Where is SQL support (promised over a year ago in Google I/O 2010) and what about Java-Python feature parity?
Re:Google Translate API is now deprecated.
on Saturday May 28, 2011 @02:24AM (#2594028)
Recent developments in the 'Google Platform' front (new App Engine price structure, API shutdowns, crippled Google Apps Standard offering, etc) severely dented my belief on a "full cloud" future. Perhaps we shouldn't outsource (== depend) too much to cloud vendors.

posts to google groups show up in devcomments.com, osdir.com, mail-archive.com, etc ranked higher than the original post in google groups.
