I think vibe coding will force everyone to stay on their toes and keep being at the edge, moat defences have lowered and competition is up, as consumers we will get much better products for much cheaper. Let's just hope there is enough people left with jobs to pay for the services and the others can re-invent theirselves in a career that is still valuable in an LLM world.
On top of this is a pregnant mother of 5. With all the decrease in fertility, maybe the woman that managed to make their children independent enough to allow them to have 4 siblings should be given a freaking medal.
Re:Serve Markdown to AI Agents with Accept Headers on Thursday August 27, 2026 @10:25AM (#49465414)
Okay but than which agent will actually use that? Because if no agent is going to use the accept html header to get markdown this is pointless.
Re:Fable extended until 19 July on Sunday July 12, 2026 @02:25PM (#48883267)
I've been trying Fable 5 and GPT 5.6 Sol last few days. My impression is that Sol consumes a lot less tokens that Fable 5 being comparable. Gpt 5.6 Sol can be run sustainably on one 20x plan. Fable 5 requires 2-3 20x plans to be run sustainably. I think the best move move for Anthropic would be to release an Opus 5 that is actually as cheap as Sol and comparably good. They have released a Fable 5 and Sonnet 5 so that seems like a possible move but I'm not sure whether the Opus 5 they got is already at Sol level. Claude Code terminal is still better than Codex CLI though as an harness. Claude code Ultramode + workflow is unmatched by Codex harness yet in my experience.
Re:GPT-5.6 on Thursday July 09, 2026 @04:57PM (#48852268)
On top of GPT 5.6 Sol they added a Tamagotchi / Clippy mascotte https://x.com/giorgio_zampa/status/2075319657997750495?s=20
The article doesn't even try to explain the correlation between the heat-wave and the public alcohol drinking. Are there a lot people hospitalized because of drinking alcohol? It could be so but it would have been nice to mention numbers and clearly state medical facts about alcohol rather than just using it as clickbait title.
Re:The 2-Year Apartment Rule on Thursday June 18, 2026 @04:32AM (#48582493)
I think apartments needs maintenance and it's hard to communicate to the landlord there is a problem or fix or find someone to fix it. The mold is very common. The mold is very easy to remove when it's small but it becomes exponentially bigger growing. Go on Amazon search for anti-mold cleaning product and a spatula. When you see a mold 1cm large get on a chair spray and scrape. It will take 5 minute. If you wait 3 months thinking you should tell the landlord and then the landlord will call someone then the mold will have become 100 square cm, it will be a 100 minutes to clean.

The roaches too if they are in your kitchen call a exterminator. Don't leave food out at night, clean all crumbs.

If you don't take care of those things even in a a new building they will appear on their own after 2 years.

Read the blog posts from Peter Steinberget blog steipete.me about his setup. Many AI builders converged on using the terminal with multiple panes. When a prompt is running if you don't have anything to do add another pane and start another prompt. Little by little you might have 1-6 prompts in parallel at some point. The flow state with AI is managing productively several prompts in parallel.
Come on Linux is the terminal dominion for excellence! Claude Code in terminal all the way!!
Re:Where Are the Vibecoded Photoshops? on Monday May 18, 2026 @11:44AM (#48181385)
Even before vibe coding I was already using this Photoshop copycat as webapp: https://www.photopea.com/
Re:A new spam policy for "back button hijacking" on Tuesday April 14, 2026 @03:03AM (#47762216)
Also www.reddit.com is/was doing the same back button hijacking. From google.com visiting a post, then clicking back and you would find yourself on Reddit general feed instead of back to Google.
POSSIBLE FIX:

I think changing your default DNS servers to Google 8.8.8.8 or Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 might bypass the spanish sunday ban on Cloudlflare.

Re:JSIR: A High-Level IR for JavaScript on Wednesday April 08, 2026 @03:48AM (#47686793)
I also didn't know the acronym IR. A good solution is passing the URL to ChatGPT and asking "what does IR mean in this url: "
Re:If DSPy is so great, why isn't anyone using it? on Monday March 23, 2026 @12:20PM (#47491591)
Loved the article because I exactly hit the stages all up till the 5th! Thank you for making me see the whole picture and journey!

I think a problem to DSPy is that they don't know the concept of THE WHOLE PRODUCT: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whole_product

Look at https://mastra.ai/ and https://www.copilotkit.ai/ to see how more inviting their pages look. A company is not selling only the product itself but all the other things around the product = THE WHOLE PRODUCT

A similar concept in developer tools is the docs are the product

Also I'm a fullstack javascript engineer and I don't use Python. Docs usually have a switch for the language at the top. Stripe.com is famous for it's docs and Developer Experience: https://docs.stripe.com/search#examples It's great to study other great products to get inspiration and copy the best traits that are relevant to your product as well.

I actually didn't notice since there weren't gradients.

On one side what you are saying it's true but on the other side it rings like "it was better when it was worse" which I always despised in the past. It's hard to accept when it's your own craft that is being automated but we must move on. Otherwise we'll be like the mechnical clockmakers complaining about Casio watches.

Or did you actually finished the book? Think very hard. You must want it.
Re:It's time to move your docs in the repo on Sunday March 15, 2026 @04:27AM (#47385381)
snarky critical or mocking in an indirect or sarcastic way.

I think the constructive information is mentioning Github Pages were built on .md file and they have existed for 10 years. That's true and useful.

The snarky part happens when phrasing the sentence "Ah you guys only doing this now? It has existed for 10 years" that part is talking about something constructive but it's also trying to diminish the discovery of someone else. We all find and develop at different times. In general is better to be constructive and happy someone else is joining you in using something than underline how it was already done in some way by you or others and this new discovery is irrelevant. Everything that exists already existed (in some other shape or smaller parts).

Re:It's time to move your docs in the repo on Saturday March 14, 2026 @04:09PM (#47380658)
Yes it's awesome! I'm creating a lot of CLIs with Claude Code to interact with external services. Yesterday made a CLI for the Google Search Console so I can prompt "get all problems from indexing in Google Search Console and fix them". Same with Sentry bugs. Same with the customer support "Use the the customer support cli skill to get recent conversations from customers and rank bug reporting and features requests and suggest things to work on"
Re:It's time to move your docs in the repo on Saturday March 14, 2026 @04:06PM (#47380621)
The monorepo make it easier to ship the overall product but harder to ship parts of it. I've used a monorepo for the past 13 years and I got all shared packages with version 0.0.0 and I still haven't figured out a simple way to share just some parts of it like a CLI. Does anyone have a monorepo and publishes NPM packages with source code of only that folder? Sub-gits required to pull in multiple places...
Re:It's time to move your docs in the repo on Saturday March 14, 2026 @04:02PM (#47380583)
that's true. Take care because in the YCombinator there is "Don't be snarky". Ask yourself how you could have provided the same useful insight without being snarky: https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html
Re:We rendered and embedded one million CAD files on Thursday February 12, 2026 @02:02AM (#46985668)
The search seems keyword based rather than meaning based (like Google). Searched 'under garden basement' and got garden furniture. Searched 'gazebo' but didn't get any gazebo cads

Re:The Singularity Will Occur on a Tuesday on Wednesday February 11, 2026 @02:25AM (#46971943)
When technology is rapidly progressing up in iperbole or exponential it looks like it reach infinity. In practice though at some point will reach a physical limit and it will go flat. This alternation of going up and flattening make the shape of steps.

We've come so far and yet we are so small.

They seem two opposite concepts but they live together, we will make a lot of progress and yet there will always be more progress to be made.

Re:In Praise Of –Dry-Run on Sunday February 01, 2026 @03:08AM (#46844437)
I didn't know about --dry-run until last summer Claude Code added it to a script it had created.
Yes on one side Tesla is not transparent but on the other side the author of the article is an hypocrite given they went with the click-bait title "Tesla’s own Robotaxi data confirms crash rate 3x worse than humans even with monitor" Tesla secrecy is likely due to avoid journalists taking any chance they can to sell more news by writing an autonomous vehicles horror story. Given the secrecy we don't know what happened, yet the journalist did choose to go with the worse scenario title.
