I like the concept, wish it was a vertical scroll with some safe margins between each picture (also to give them more stage time and removing the noise/distraction from many pictures stitched together)
stop excusing murder.

the man was holding a phone before being violated, and when on the floor, with both hands on the floor, was shot almost 10 times.

watch the videos.

well put.

but that takes a level of humanism, and effort, abusive leaders don’t have and unfortunately people are too brainwashed to see (and lack the knowledge to understand?).

Re: on Thursday October 02, 2025 @10:12PM (#45458111)
your entire narrative screams “I’m the victim here, please validate my aggressions, abuses and violence”.

the state of Israel has not been respectful since day one of it’s inception (violating the defined borders) neither truly wants a two state solution.

this outcome is the product of what escalated from that.

at least you understand the correlation between a figure like Trump and the state of Israel, that’s exactly on point.

it’s ok when one side violates borders and even settles on foreign land but when reactionary action (you’ve helped shape) takes place, you’re now the victim…

the donation form should be a lot more straightforward for single donations.. it requires too many fields and I can’t do a “fast checkout” like on online stores.. basically a big button sending me to a payment platform so I can just pay and move on.

same here, it’s one of the few times I wish I could downvote an “article” on HN

what a great read and inspiring story.
most people’s teeth in europe do not look great.. specially when compared to north americans.

from my experience, only people who are serious about their mouth health and go to the dentist at least twice a year, seem to have healthy and good looking teeth.

I believe limiting twitter’s presence is beneficial to all of us.

That made us spend 819 million hours clicking on traffic lights to generate nearly $1 trillion for Google.
Re:EV Batteries Last Way Longer Than Expected on Monday February 10, 2025 @11:20AM (#43001997)
The rhythms of real-world driving enable EV batteries to live far beyond the predictions of laboratory tests, according to a new study from Stanford University. Thereport, published in December inNature Energy, suggests that EV batteries could last 38 percent longer than previous lab-based estimates. That means drivers could get as much as 314,000 kilometers (195,000 miles) more out of their EVs than academic researchers believed.
Re:Most People with Addiction Simply Grow Out of It on Saturday February 17, 2024 @05:47AM (#39408303)
I would say almost everything is acceptable once you understand the balance and how it impacts you if you do/over do it.

I agree there are a lot of normalised addictions, including the modern trend of counting every step, heart rate beat, times you go in the bathroom and even sleep analysis so you can compare to your friends.

Re:Apple on course to break all Web Apps in EU within 20 days on Thursday February 15, 2024 @04:38AM (#39380743)
what about the data which is deleted after 7 days?

imagining all my native apps to loose their login and local settings is beyond acceptable.

I hope this is one of those lies in the article that you’re talking about.

your comment should be way higher. producing a video game requires time, time that a 9 year old should not spend on a computer or video game console.

Re:To fix L.A.'s traffic, we need tolls on Wednesday March 08, 2017 @06:12AM (#13819499)
why do people keep comparing LA to any other city in the world?

that's the same logic of: my life is a mess, but my neighbour's is worse, so I'm pretty alright.

I do think traffic is one of the main issues in our society because we still have the same mentality about cars as we had 50y ago (or more). They should never be a priority, we're a collective not a bunch of singulars, so investing in good public transportation and keeping private cars out of the main areas of interest should be the norm. This way of living messes up with our health and life quality.

Here in Lisbon, Portugal, people complaint everyday about traffic and how much time they spend on it..even public transportation is a mess because it's schedules and quantity aren't that good. Fortunately, 2 years ago, I switched to riding my bicycle for 50min (each way) everyday. The commute is by the river and there's no description for how better my life got. But I recognise we can't all do that, so at least we should invest in good public transports and keep cars out of the cities so we can just walk a little bit once we got out of the train, metro, bus, whatever or even bring our bicycles to make this easier.

We will always be as lazy as possible if we allow ourselves to drive the car everywhere.

Let's just stop thinking that the car are the solution for need, it should never be. Cars and highways mess up our health, nature, landscapes, life quality, noise, etc. etc.

(I was in Washington D.C. for 2 months and hell I was about to get crazy just from the noise of cars and for the incapacity of being able to roam freely by foot.. there were cars EVERYWHERE, huge roads everywhere. I honestly think that cities like that aren't made for people who live or work there.)
