I feel like good mental health and the side benefits of networking are totally worth the 400 dollars if it doesn’t put you in financial insecurity.
OP might have a monitor which shows the colors in a different way or just a different aesthetic for pictures.

What format do you use? I was searching for scientific notebook templates and examples but didn't find any so I just made my own: pandoc tags on the top and the rest is GitHub Markdown. Python cells when data need to be processed.
Order has been restored!

Do you know which academic groups are doing this kind of fundamental research in neural networks?

Did they even play against a human player? I didn't see results from person vs bot matches.
Or Stephen Fry

Ask HN: A story about a research adviser who automated himself

Some time ago I read a story here about a researcher who automated his paper critiques. The scripts detected weak sentences or something. I've been rummaging for about 2 hours through my bookmarks, history and HN history and I can't find it. Did anyone remember facts about that story, bookmarks or direct links? That would be much appreciated.

I don't think they have released it yet. When it comes out it should be on Wired UK's YouTube page.
Have you read Usogui as well? I found it somewhat similar and interesting :)

But there's also a lot more books that are mentioned without the Amazon link. On the top of my head "The cathedral and the bazaar" is probably mentioned zillions of times. Are you thinking of handling that as well?
Thanks for the Ansible recommendation. I was wondering if I was reinventing the wheel but I guess I wasn't.

Ask HN: What is the best way to run a scientific experiment on a cloud platform?

My current project is to try and classify proteins by one of their properties and I'm currently exploring which ML algorithm has the best accuracy on the dataset. I'm trying out 4-5 classifiers from python's sklearn library and I want to run them in parallel on a cloud platform. The reason for running them in the cloud is that they take 6GB of memory each so I don't want to run them on my...

Thanks for sharing the ribbonfarm blog. I found the essay on clods and snowflakes quite interesting.
"Zorba the Greek" by Nikos Kazantzakis

It's a novel which makes you think about how you want to spend your everyday life. It's a book about appreciating what you have, about friendship, about love. It's very pure.

I'd recommend it.
