Looks cool, but I don't understand the remote profiling server. Does that mean profiling server code on requests or is it a server that can let you view profiling results?

Reading a lot seems to help - keeps you up to date on what's possible, so when you hit a problem you have something in the back of your mind to resolve it. (more practical than algorithms-y).

how does database access work? didn't see anything in the docs about it. Is there some amount of local space on the servers?

I'm trying to design a reporting API for our company (we do real time bidding on advertising). I'm not sure how to structure it and what conventions to use. (for example, there's really nothing to "set" in terms of reporting).How would you design this API? Are there any good books or resources covering this?
