Pretty sure it won't be. What makes you think it will be paid?
Is slack really that ubiquitous? I wonder what percentage of customers don't use slack or requested something like Teams.
I am not sure why Tailscale is always on Hackernews.
For example, Twingate allows 5 free users and supports more complex use case without requiring a subnet router. They generally have stronger enterprise features as well.

Sounds super cool. How many concurrent connections can each connector support?

Not if it is indistinguishable from the real thing and they have no idea as to its origins.

E. coli can be genetically modified to produce fats. Yeast can too. The fat content is just more varied requiring many different yeast clones to be developed for production.

Something like this is already being done. Indiebio just launched in SF and they are doing great work at bringing in pot-doc chemists and biochemists and de-risking their academic work and turning them companies.
Disclaimer, my company Pembient is in the first class.

What do you mean? Their product delay was minimal compared to lockitron (~2years!) and they kept everyone well informed regarding the delay(same can not be said for lockitron). Their refined shipping estimates in light of delays were also spot on. I could not be happier with how Soylent handled things, while I would NEVER purchase anything from lockitron again.

I am an analytical chemist.
Currently I have a company that provides R&D and Manufacture services for salons that want to launch their own label of hair products.
Did we all read the same article...Where is the evidence of a third leaker?
As an analytical chemist also with a degree in biochem who has worked extensively on blood analysis, this will not work at any meaningful rate of reliability. I sometimes get frustrated when the key part of some great breakthrough is hid behind a buzzword as if its a cure-all for the details. I would love to know how "machine learning" is going to just magically make this work at a reliable rate. I guess I am just a pessimistic lab rat.
I am not really a fan of the pastel colors and the new logo. I know they were trying to make photos and such more prominent but I find it harder to navigate.
What makes you think he didn't understand the Innovator's Dilemma?
When he was CEO some of the more innovative products not part of their core business included smart watches, internet TV (MSN TV), the XBox, and many others. Granted some were way ahead of their time, and I would agree to saying Ballmer didn't understand, but I wouldn't say Gates didn't.
This article is from months ago. I thought they had to change suppliers for a few things, wouldn't the nutritional info change also?
One of my parents is Egyptian and when she was growing up they had multiple "servants" but each with a different speciality. One was the transportation (pick up/drop off) guy, one did cleaning, one was the handy man, one was the doorman/concierge type person, one did shopping, someone watched the kids, etc.
In effect, there were no errands for the family to ever run because they had one servant that specialized in one thing but that servant did it for all the families on the block resulting in a full time job. All the affluent city blocks had their own network of specialized servants.
No one wants to get sued, no matter how frivolous.
I don't live in Sf but its city government sure sounds dysfunctional, more so than most cities at least.
I would love much Doge please!

I have the exact same situation but I have spoken to Nest Customer Service and other "smart" thermostat CS and all have told me that they will not work with the wiring for electric heaters commonly controlled by a single dedicated mechanical thermostat. I was out of luck so if you find an working "smart" thermostat I would love to get one.
