iirc ydotool just whips a relative device into a corner before trying to position it, which gets it extra wrong if there's mouse acceleration. It's one of the reasons I wrote dotool (https://git.sr.ht/~geb/dotool): echo mouseto 0.5 0.5 | dotool

I do all my computing by voice but just use normal programs with simple keyboard-like voice control.
I use the https://qutebrowser.org web browser and https://numenvoice.org (which I also develop).

I can't use a keyboard comfortably, and use/develop Numen (https://numenvoice.org) which is FOSS voice control for Linux. Out of the box it's a simple context-free keyboard alternative, and broken wrists is a pretty common use case too.

Thank you! I only found this thread today. I was inspired by talon but all I really wanted was some phrases that worked everywhere and to use normal tools like vim and a tiling window manager, and hoped it could all be foss. I think talon's more about app specific phrases and trying to take the role of your text editor and window manager.
