Just noticed that C# moved up to #3 on the list of most popular programming list for month of February 2012. I'm assuming this is due to growing popularity of ASP.NET framework. What are your thoughts?http://www.tiobe.com/index.php/content/paperinfo/tpci/index.html
Congrats. Can you share details on which programming language you learned and roadblocks if any?
You should be fine, as long you are not using their property (hardware, software, phone etc) to work on your project. Also it should not be in competition with your company. Just to be on the safe side, you might want to tell your HR and see if they have any objections.
How is this different from google hangout?
For which business chatwindow or hireplug? What is your background? Try here on HN, attend seminar's and hackathons etc.
I worked with some really good .NET MVC developers on my last personal project. They worked USA Pacific time zone (9 to 5) and were available via skype and google chat. Let me know if you need their profile and I can shoot it to you in email.
If you are ok with Union City then I can connect you with someone who offers very cheap office space. Its a commercial building which houses insurance agents and stuff.
Thank you.. Email is in my profile now

Just curious if anyone will invest in Facebook when it goes for IPO?
Throwing everyone in a same pool could be a problem. One lottery cannot cross state-lines. Also, It would get complicated to claim the prize when 100's of people are involved.
Connor, actually your risk of loosing too much money is also reduced. Because In a group you will not be pooling as much money as you would if you play alone. For example, if you play alone you might buy $10 worth of lottery. But if you play in a group of 10, you can get away with playing with only $2 and still have double with chances of winning. I'll add this to the landing page and hopefully it will make sense?
Kls, Thank you for the great feedback, we really appreciate it. We will definitely look at your suggestions.Regarding trust issues, everyone will get a copy of the ticket before the draw. Also, group will have name of each user who participated and the numbers they selected. I have looked at the state laws and there are few where lottery tickets cannot be purchased online (which we are not).
I'm thinking to let users pay the overhead of each transaction or setup a monthly plan that will allow only certain # of transaction per month. Regarding taxes, I havn't thought about that yet, maybe I can have group users directly pay the person who formed the group.
Why? You buy one lottery ticket by yourself then you only have 1 chance of winning. If you play in a group of 10-20 friends, then your chances just went up by 100's of percentage. Hope this help?

Hi All,Could you please provide feedback and let us know what do you think of our idea? Also, provide feedback on the design?http://jackpotbuddy.com/index.aspxThanks for your help in advance.
I'm referring to chances for winning and not expected earnings. Expected earning more are higher if you play alone but you'll have to buy lots of ticket to have any chances of winning.
JackpotBuddy provides an inexpensive way to play more tickets by joining Groups.
About $3K cash and about 100+ man hours.
Good question. If you are playing alone then you only have one chance (assuming you buy $1 ticket). If you play in a group of 10 or 20 people you just increased your chances by hundreds of percents. Because 10 tickets are always better than 1. Of-course, you'll be sharing the winning with others.
Hope this makes sense?
