Native VS Code integration is already here! The “3 screens” you see (design, code, preview) are just there for the demo— only the design editor on top is part of Pagedraw. You get to use your regular text editor (VS Code included), and localhost env if you use the full version and install the CLI https://documentation.pagedraw.io/cli/
> Design -> Code is definitely a big problem. Creation time is one, but updating should be easy too.
Updating is super easy if you do the updates in Pagedraw. Since everything is component based, you should never touch the generated code. All the code you write goes in adjacent components that import and are imported by Pagedrawn components. You never need to roundtrip, because you never need to edit the generated code
Show HN: Objective-Reinforced GANs
A new GAN is in town! A combination of RL + Generative Adversarial Networks that lets you specify objectives for generating data. For example: "I'd like my generated poems to have fancier words" or "I'd like my generated molecules to have higher solubility." Define simple rewards and ORGAN biases the generative model for you.arXiv: https://arxiv.org/abs/1705.10843 GitHub:...
Pagedraw is a startup that gives designers the super powers of developers. Founded by Harvard undergrads, Pagedraw solves the problem of time wasted writing HTML and CSS code.
At the core, we are a compiler that takes as input designer mockups and outputs fully semantic, production ready code (for React, Angular, Ruby on Rails, you name it).
If your team uses React, for example, Pagedraw automatically generates the render function of all your components, from the views drawn by designers. As a developer we believe you should work only at a data level, taking care of the state of the app without worrying about whether something is vertically centered or not. We've raised over $1.2M from investors like Lightspeed, SVAngel, and Charlie Cheever.
The problem we’re solving is not necessarily a new one, but it’s very hard, and we need smart, passionate people who want to join our mission of making the development of apps better for everyone.
For more info, read our blog post at https://medium.com/@gablg1/pagedraw-is-hiring-9e69cccade83#.... Our interview process consists of a series of informal conversations (technical and non-technical) with the members of our team, as well as a take home coding assignment.
