I have my own damn idea about this "evil language" obsession, but I'm just curios to see your perspectives..

In the past it was quite different and not so effective, also the target is not usually a company but a single person. It is a war towards the weak. Now you can destroy the people life for really futile reasons, so cancel culture acts differently from old-style boycott for technological and sociological reasons. I don't think that the mob assaulting people for old style opinions is the majority of population, the mob is simply organized, funded and have the advantage of being supported by the media. And I don't think that having a mob destroying a person, and his family too, for a different opinion.. is a good way to shape the world, or a shiny path towards a better future. That is the "Gulag method", ah yes sorry, you call it "Language evolution", I forgot it. Finally, for lot of people this is a "culture WAR", in the sense that casualities don't matters, and is the proof that this mob is moved by violence and not compassion.
ok, my fault, JP has a very similar sentence.
Language evolves, yes, but lot of people (the majority I suppose) still use and understand "man" in the neutral meaning too; there is a set of people that has "evolved" and tries to impose their evolution with dishonest speaking practices (shame, economic pressure, cancel culture..). This is not language evolution, it is the same as the fascists in Italy in the 19twenties that have pushed/banned the use of specific words in the Italian language (was it evolution? I think you agree it is not). So I don't buy this one, "language evolution" supporters in this case have the same behaviour of religious fundamentalists, they have lot of uncontestable axioms, like a religion, and this is not good. Not good at all.
Perhaps this sentence comes from Jordan Peterson not Tucker Carlson
Man has also the meaning of "human being", gender neutral, why is the concept of context dead? I imagine a quite useless manager who has fun in being offended, and trying to put a guilt on the other people shoulders. IMHO
Personally, I will surely quit from a firm adopting racist or discriminating policy, it's not about being forced to but it's about fighting dangerous behaviours. Furthermore the guy has not left cause the 'support to minorities trend' but has left cause the disguised 'racist and discriminating trend' of the LLVM project.
I got your point, but I think that the problem is not "helping" (with scholarships) based on membership with minorities, but helping when there are bad economic or social conditions. This may be correlated with other attributes yes but I think that we must write rules for persons by only considering the factors that effectively prevent them from studying and not the skin color.
Giving more constructive comments/directions to newbies is important but I think that an high threshold for questions is still mandatory in SO.
Majority of people are lazy and don't like to think deeply or search first and.. it is normal for this lazy people to protest; rewards and punishments are needed for a society to work.
About the discrimination part, I have never seen "not respectful posts" for women or people of color... imho this is a no-problem for SO and I think that it is dangerous to create a discrimination case when there is none. Because in this way, you are creating artificial discrimination and real distance between people.
In order to obtain a good solution, it is important to provide representative examples; it is also important that such examples provide surrounding text that has not to be extracted.
We have observed that poor solutions often appear when users provide little variety in examples and no negative examples at all.
I suggest to improve the provided examples ad re-execute the solution search.
This Regex Generator site works as follows, you provide text examples by highlighting the strings to extract; the strings to not extract are the surrounding text. The Regex Generator finds out a regular expression that complies with provided examples and performs the desired text extraction task.
This is a research project of the Machine Learning Lab http://machinelearning.inginf.units.it/
The engine has also been released opensource here:

... in order to be fair we have recently updated the engine and webinterface; the new application is a big step forward, the same URL but a totally different thing.
The older tool is here,
http://regex.inginf.units.it/extract/
Auch! my fault, it sounds like but it is not :-)
The site has gone down, once for a power outrage and another time cause the traffic peak... I think the problem are solved now. :-)
Very challengin'
An you have your current final score/ranking too

Evolving regexes or programs is not an unknown topic but this is the only online tool which is able to find out regexes for text extraction, a real world application, that works for real.
I have not find out other sites or applications able to do the job, providing a good solution.
Splitting the learning set in training and validation sets is very important. The validation set is used in order to select the solutions which have generalized (or understood) the problem for real.
When you use all the knowledge for training, the algorithm can overfit, providing a solution that has a great performance on the training examples but has poor performance when you use it, for real, on unseen text.
Splitting in training and validation leads to better solutions.
Yes it works, it finds out the 'shape' of the surrounding text and it writes a regex using lookarounds operators which does the work right.
So, yes, it builds an extractor which is able to extract only "simon" and "mark"

GWT (Google Web Toolkit) is a tool for compiling Java into JavaScript code; with GWT you can write both your web application and your server side code using the Java language. What about Google Web Toolkit performance?I have worked with GWT in the recent years and a simple question has arisen:
"What is the performance of the same Java code when running inside the Java virtual machine VS running...
