Wow, didn't think about it from this angle. It's a game changer for all marketers indeed. I would assume that this will be the same story for videos.

Re:Temporally Coherent Human Video Deepfakes via Diffusion on Tuesday January 10, 2023 @09:58AM (#34325783)
Where's the code? Looks a bit suspect imo. Generating human motion without being driven by a real-world video is interesting tho. But adding audio speech as a driver. Well...
Re:Why is self sovereignty in the Metaverse so important? on Thursday January 05, 2023 @05:01AM (#34257883)
Self-sovereign identity is a central tenet of what Web 3.0 should look like. As Metaphysic’s co-founder Tom Graham stated to The Telegraph newspaper: “…individuals [must] own and control their own hyperreal likeness, meaning they also own and control the data involved in training and creating that likeness.” It is key to what Metaphysic is working towards with its platform Every Anyone. This allows users to create their own avatar but with data they will own...

And with pandemic restrictions making conventional filming risky, the benefits of using synthetic media in industries, such as film production, have been magnified.

The Synthetic Futures Community proposes to explore and discuss how Synthetic Media are used today in the movies industry by VFX artists and directors to create a new generation of movies and videos and what kind of challenges both artistic and ethical ones Generative AI makes.

Re:Meta's 'Cicero' AI Trounced Humans at Diplomacy on Tuesday November 22, 2022 @10:47AM (#33706995)
After move 37 game 2, I think this is one of the major events in "participative" AI.

Its arrival caused delight and consternation; but it is now woven into every aspect of our lives as the majority of us carry a camera with us at all times. However, the relationship between the two technologies is also complementary as well as linear. AI is already changing how photographers work and shifting the...
