The entire website is written in PHP. I have nothing against the language, but it's a major red flag when you would expect it to be using Java instead like most bank and government websites do.
I wish I have the time to sink 100+ hours on this game. I still haven't finished BOTW after playing it on and off for a few years. Hoping the next Zelda would be more brief like the old Wind Waker.
Do you have any tips on how to effectively parse website content? I tested it on one of my websites and it was able to answer questions based on content that was located in separate div/p containers. Do you divide content into different section and use embedding to find the relevant text, or do you feed the entire page content into the API?
How does this handle websites with complicated structure instead of your typical blogposts where ideas are divided neatly into separate paragraph?
Can't wait to see how the Elon lackeys - Marc, Lex, and Jason etc. going to bend over backwards defending this.
I want to quit but there's nothing that truly replace it. I might try Mastaodon but in the meantime, I will do my job by blocking every ads I see on the app.
The engagement declines with each new release. That is what happens when you keep crying wolf. It's not even trending on Twitter.
Am I the only one who believes the high textbook pricing are reasonable given the small consumer base?
Schwab is great. One thing I like is you need to call their team on the phone and answer a few questions before you can even trade the most basic option types (i.e. secured short put, covered call). Robinhood instead grants margins and advanced option strategies to 18 years old willy nilly. And as others have mentioned, they have great customer service. I can contact them with live chat during trading hours very quickly.
off-topic, after the redesign, has the verge changed the font and removed dark mode?

Interesting to see Facebook didn't leak this information when the privacy change was being rolled out.
Their articles used to get upvoted to Reddit front page constantly. I guess in hindsight this was probably just another Russian propaganda project.
Please name one Chinese social media company that is "better" at these social media categories.
Group/Newsfeed: Facebook (Baidu Tieba is China only)
Longform videos: YouTube (Bilibili is China only)
Messenger: WhatsApp, iMessenger (WeChat is mostly China and some SEA countries)
Photo: Instagram
Microblogging: Twitter (Weibo is China only)
VR: Meta/Steam (TikTok has Pico, we will see how it will do internationally)
Live stream: Twitch/YouTube (No idea how popular TikTok is in this category)
It is outrageous that Facebook and Google are banned from operating in China while TikTok is allowed free rein in America.
We will see how Diablo 4 will perform but I seriously doubt this mobile game saga will affect even 0.1% of sales. People were genuinely excited by the trailer Blizzard put out back in June.
These video essays are nothing more than opinion pieces since they never provide any evidence and citation on what they say.
Is there a VSCode plugin that help you do something like this: when I type text-20px it will try to find the closest class e.g. text-sm automatically?
Wonder how many people actually played the game as opposed to parroting whatever they heard from YouTubers? Metacritic user score has become useless since people started to doing review bomb.
It should, but the negative attention this game is getting is not proportional to the degree of awfulness of the monetisation. I am just jaded by the misinformation and double standard the Internet have these days, when you see some content creators even proclaiming this game the greediest game ever made! [0] which is objectively not true. Will these creators dare to critize other mobile games like Genshin Impact and Clash of Clans? No, because these games have ten times bigger fanbase than Diablo Immortal and Blizzard is a easy target.

Granted I am 15 or so levels away from max level and haven't touched any endgame activities. Still I am not denying the game is not P2W.
They also have very tame monetization in their upcoming Warcraft mobile game when compared to the game it's cloning - Clash Royale. There are no loot boxes and you can buy character outright. Still the announcement was met with mixed reactions.
Maybe Blizzard's reputation has been so tarnished that even that is not enough and they need to forgo any mechanism that can be remotely considered giving paying customer advantages.
The thing is Activision has already successfully brought its flagship title Call of Duty to the mobile with only cosmetic store and making banks with it. So I disagree with you that Blizzard will be leaving money on the table by following that route.
It would be interested to see how well Diablo Immortal is going to do considering how much bad press it gets. Like you said the mobile gaming population is so much bigger than the PC one, but I question if the former are really immune to the opinions from YouTuber, social media and word of mouth from their friends.
I have been playing and enjoying the game for the past few days. The P2W gem system can be ignore entirely by most players unless you want to become the best in leaderboard. Overall the monetization is on par with other mobile games. The only reason this gets so much attention is because Blizzard is a easy target to generate outrages and clicks these days.
You can see this broken behaviour in the revamped Play Store website. It makes you wonder whether no one at Google felt this was a problem or just didn't bother to fix it.
