Research Vault is a Mac app from eggnomic.com.

When you browse a site, you can take a screenshot of the page and send the image to an AI model, which researches what it’s looking at.

It’s for startups, Founders, VC firms and CPG products.

Curl is used for installation now.

curl -fsSL https://eggnomic.com/research-vault/install.sh | sh

You can read the install.sh at the URL above before running it.

No signup or telemetry.

Very detailed site. It said open source. where is the source?
Re:World Cup Picture Puzzle Game on Sunday July 19, 2026 @01:17PM (#48969912)
I'm very addicted to the simple game https://18words.com. Don't remember how many hours were lost in this game.

It inspired me to create a version using the pictures of players from both nations for the world cup final.

Today is the world cup final. Let's see who will win.

I have a naive question here - first, the token speed is very impressive. but why this is the highlight? I would prefer the actual performance.
Re:Ingredient Score on Sunday February 01, 2026 @09:27PM (#46851717)
This is an open source chrome extension to evaluate ingredient on Amazon, Kroger and other online stores using LLAM3.2

BYOK - You can improve the evaluation using your own LLM API key.

You can host it yourself. I used Opus 4.5 for most of the implementation. It’s local first and privacy first. MIT licensed.

Let me know what you think

Re:[Ask Help] Recoll Index Mac Permission Issue on Thursday August 22, 2024 @08:57PM (#41325485)
Try to search on recoll.org to see how to grant permission on Mac. So little information on the website.

The indexing process ask permission for each directory. It's getting so annoying. Need help.

Re:Testing multiple Python versions with nox and pyenv on Saturday March 11, 2023 @09:53AM (#35108705)
I was wrong here.
Re:Testing multiple Python versions with nox and pyenv on Saturday March 04, 2023 @06:08PM (#35025434)
My current system is using Python3.11

For virtualenv, you can create python3.10 using

virtualenv SOME_PY_ENV_NAME -p python3.10

This is the result:

which python3 /Users/user_name/tmp/SOME_PY_ENV_NAME/bin/python3 python3 --version Python 3.10.10

Re:Plotext – Python Plotting on the Terminal on Saturday July 03, 2021 @10:03AM (#27721686)
For me, this is a good alternative to matplotlib when I try to visualize a plot using WSL.

[edit]: matplotlib always crashed on me and failed to find Qt library.

This is a good one. I was going to post it. It's good that I checked before I duplicate the same content.
Re:What are good linux laptops for 2018? on Saturday July 21, 2018 @03:49PM (#17583523)
Here's my experience. If you develop everything locally, get a decent laptop with Ubuntu or Windows 10 Pro.

Windows 10 Pro Edition comes with WSL, a Linux subsystem which is pretty decent for my deep learning implementation and small scale test. With Xming, I can do some visualization as well. There will be downsides. If you get a laptop that just comes with Ubuntu or any Linux distro, you are good to go.

If your development is cloud based, Google is push Chrome OS into a Linux friendly direction. Chromebooks are pretty good choices, price-wise, functionality-wise and portability-wise, you name it. At the time of writing (July 20s, 2018), Pixelbook and a few more Chromebooks receive the support of Linux container. More will be supported.
