Thank you, this is all really helpful
Because the sheer volume is insane, and when looking through the logs the requests for a short term IP do not make sense / are not sequential, hope that makes sense
It had meta in the user-agent headers, it’s trivial to spoof but I’ve read of many others who are seeing the same thing. It’s not just them though, it’s also parallel web systems, and then a bunch of others who aren’t identifying themselves.

We host a web app which has around 50,000 statically generated public pages, and the amount of bot traffic is insane. Facebook’s crawler requested the same pages over 3 million times in 2 days, and we’ve used Vercel and Cloudflare to block as much as possible but it’s not working. The AI scrapers are routing requests through residential proxies, and even after putting our entire app behind an...

Hey there, full time software engineer of around 6 years here (post-grad). I’m using Claude Code half of the day now at work, I just can’t keep up with my team if I were to stop coding with AI. Hi HN,Long time reader, first time poster. The EV charging infrastructure in the US is quite a mess (unlike the EU), where we have very few roaming options and the apps suck to use. Have been spending the past year building a native Swift app which lets you charge with over 7 networks, and it's really easy to use. I've seen a lot of threads on HN on this topic so thought I'd share it here...
Can we just agree that programming is a trillion dollar disaster in general?
You’re right, the UI is dated, but the 10% fees definitely drive away users
Hey, us Davis students are having our own housing shortage, please don’t include us
Well, $.60/box goes to that specific troop (15%) but $2.50/box (50%) goes to that local troop’s organization, so in my area that would be the Northern California’s Girlscout Organization
That would still mean that the lights would go off if my boss was the only person in the room.
They have also contributed a lot to Django
working on the MVP as we speak
I remember George Hotz stating in an interview a year ago that he was going to be a billionaire by the end of 2016. He has quite the ego, there's tons of OBD-II adapters that have been around for a while and many successful Kickstarter campaigns launching better OBD-II adapters.
