Yeah, I agree, I’ve struggled for years to find a mail client that feels (and looks) ‘modern’. The app uses Postgres as the database so that the mail lives server-side but stores an array of metadata attributes from each mailbox in the db, then pulls from the server when you open it.

Everything happens on Postgres first then relays to IMAP instead of relying on IMAP to query across all your domains, which I find is usually where most mail clients start to fail when you’re the type to setup multiple emails on multiple domains.

Hey all,I built this mail client to manage my self-hosted mail across multiple domains, and it's ended up being my daily driver (i.e. it gets patched quick) and thought I'd share it again here.I wanted something that was fast to parse visually, easy to manage & customize, self-host and easily deploy, so it does all of the above.I'm an inpatient fella, so it also allows you to do things like...

Thanks for the guidance; I've pushed this into the latest build.

Let me know if there's anything else you notice!

Can you access the article itself without error?

yes on email-render-dark-mode but the toggle could be closer to the action. Printing, no - but can add this in too. Watch for next build or two :)

Show HN: Mail client optimized for self-hosted email across multiple domains

As someone with a clean IP range and ADHD, I manage my inbox by splitting across a variety of accounts for a variety of domains. I’ve never really found a client that scratches all my itches, so I spent some time making one and it’s now become my daily driver. It’s optimised to be visually simple and highly configurable for things like colour, folders/subfolders, sorting and tweaking the search...

More or less the same, just not yet with cal integrations. The main tweak is a more modern interface and with a denser level of abilities around customisation with layouts/colours/folders.

My main gripe with TB is that it’s limited in how much you can change the display visually, which can be quite cluttered and same-y.

Show HN: Particle – Extract and save articles in a clean, self-hosted reader

https://particle.crnst8.com/try/

I've seen a few of those "Every fucking website in 202*" examples on here the last few days, and I feel it deep in my bones. As a result of the constant auto-play videos, CTAs, cookie warnings etc. etc., this is probably the most used self-developed app I run. It's super simple - just drop in the URL of the article and it'll extract (maintaining structure, formatting, pullquotes, images etc.)...

a platform for creating and sharing cross-platform playlists

https://flowerpil.io

the backend is all automated for imports and exports from dsp (can be a single account only), or can be made without.

Just wanted it to be easier to share music with friends with one link, particularly as music-types start to de-spotify!
