You might want to look up big words before using them.

At this point, you'd be crazy to visit the USA at all.
The USA are basically a hostile nation from now on. Maybe for russians it's safe.
Re:The Raku Programming Language on Saturday November 20, 2021 @05:20AM (#29286857)
I'm thinking about trying the upcoming Advent of code with Raku, but I have never used it and it looks too complex to be picked up in a week or two. Any thoughts?
Well, let me tell you from experience that everything is difficult in Germany due to insane bureaucracy. I applied for student funding twice and twice I had to pay everything back due to technicalities. I would not consider founding a startup in Germany.
Re:Let's write a compiler, part 3: A parser on Monday August 16, 2021 @06:20PM (#28203677)
C is actually a huge disadvantage here for me, since I have no use for it outside of this tutorial which makes it hard to justify learning it on top of learning how a compiler works...
That just sounds like a product type with some dynamic checking, no?

That's true and was my first thought. C seems like an arcane choice for an introduction course.

I'm thinking about following the tutorial in Julia or Kotlin, but it would be interesting how the code looks in a different language like F#.
How was F# for the task?

What is silly is saying that everything is possible until proven otherwise. It's possible when it's discovered, otherwise it's not.
There's the HANS dataset which is used to evaluate NLI models to check if they pick up surface heuristics: https://huggingface.co/datasets/hans https://arxiv.org/abs/1902.01007

It's not about 'compassion', it's about denying the Covid pandemic being real and calling it 'the cough'.

Impressive FUD.

Many, many more people use Android than IOS.
People use it precisely because the audio is great and just works.
Discord is quite easy to use for dozens of people I know, most of whom aren't programmers or heavy PC users. It just works and it's great, especially the noise cancelling.

Yes: don't.
If I try to imagine a room I have never been in or a landscape I have never seen before it comes out looking like in a fever dream. No proportions make sense, it's shifting around, etc. I don't know if that's worse than having none at all. :P

This is true for me as well. I know that I've been to Italy several times from ages 10 to 15 with my family, but I couldn't tell you much more than fragments or how often that was, etc.

There's a quite amusing blog post about implementing the automaton for Lucene: http://blog.mikemccandless.com/2011/03/lucenes-fuzzyquery-is...

As an aside, I know one of the authors of the original paper personally. Quite interesting guy, and the remark about the paper being "nearly unintelligible" is fitting.

Sitting in an office all day and not at home has become completely unacceptable for me. No commute, my own food, balcony/garden, etc. Offer me an office job and I will decline.
I cannot remember when I have last received a pristine book from Amazon in Germany. There is always at least one minor damage that I wouldn't get from a store book.

I can definitely redefine a struct in a module.
