If I'm working in a DAW such as Pro Tools or Logic, I can do all sorts of things such as program keys to play full chords or chord progressions. Maybe I want to press some key combo to start/stop my external sequencer, or arm/disarm a synth to improvise live with a looper, but not record into the loop.
I'm sure the possibilities are endless, but having the flexibility to tinker and build your own workflow is super neat.
Developer Support at Stripe is full service. We are persistent at solving problems for engineers from a multitude of backgrounds. We interact with users primarily through email and IRC, teaching them the primitives powering our APIs and guiding them to a complete integration, built specifically for their needs. Having worked with a bunch of programming languages and services, we understand the fundamentals of programming incredibly well and eagerly jump into others' code no matter how unfamiliar things seem at first glance.
We're currently looking for people based in the US, Europe, and APAC -- full-time or part-time. If you enjoy hacking on code and are a fast researcher, strong writer, and enthusiastic about helping others build mission-critical products with Stripe, we want to talk.
You can read more about Developer Support, and apply directly at https://stripe.com/jobs/positions/developer-support. Please include pointers to projects of which you are particularly proud, links to technical posts you've written, your GitHub profile, and any other background you think would be relevant.
My most common words on vacation are "How in the hell do I get back to the hotel".
*Note to self. When faced with "The Vow", and "The Grey" on night before Valentines, choose "The Vow".

Basically, I love the left side of Raven. I don't like the tabs and address bar...
Our outbound stuff is more advanced, but our inbound is simple. Simply change the phone number on your site with a bit of javascript and you're done. That javascript rotates through a bunch of your phone numbers that we give you, tracks referrers, search queries, etc.
When the phone rings you can have a callerid screen that instantly displays all the above plus history of conversations with that person.
We also allow the person who answered the phone to enter a numeric value after each call. Then, you can see ROI for all the various marketing efforts.
Contact me privately if you're interested in learning more. We are still private, but opening up very soon.
Also, is there a support phone number anywhere?
I'm a price-sensitive Whole Foods and Trader Joe's shopper in Palo Alto/Mountain view and would love to have great sale notifications from these locations.
Also, most of my friends are the same way. Food at these locations is expensive and we aren't super wealthy so pricing is really painful sometimes.
Either way, great job. I love the site/app/idea and this space is ready for an idea like yours. Cheers!

I made more forward progress here in one week than I did in the last year in Austin.
The vibe here is insane and people are genuinely willing to help founders who are just starting out. Forget about stretching your money "a bit further" with mom and dad. Get out here ASAP...
BTW, I currently live in SOMA and pay about $900/month to live with 2 really cool guys who work at startups.

I recently moved out of Austin, and I'm working on a cool new telephony startup. I'll send you a message via your site.
I'm tired of hearing from all the "stars". I want to listen to interviews with normal hackers like myself who are either struggling to find themselves online or starting to experience a bit of success.
I want to hear from people who are building small online businesses - charging money. I'm so burnt out on social/advertising/big exit plays.
You built a ton of value into your product and should not sell it for peanuts. Real businesses pay real money for products and tend to be better customers than those who want it for a "few bucks a month".
My product requires deep integration inside of other people's software - ecommerce, saas, etc. The majority of customer support will be on the front-end. I'm a two man shop and not able to handle a large support load of customers who haven't paid real money.
Do you encounter this at all?
With this model, how will you do upgrades/downgrades? Would you prorate the portion of the month on the old plan + the prorated portion of the new plan? Then, continue charging on the new plan the following month?
In your second example, what would you do with a user who only used 100 minutes? Will you rollover their unused minutes or is it "use it or lose it"?
