Re:The Inside Story of a Small Startup Acquisition on Thursday January 26, 2012 @01:22AM (#3513123)
Hey Tam, I'm creating AuthenticStartups to solve this very problem. I conceived this idea when selling a small startup of my own and thinking that there's got to be a better way.
Cool thanks
Nope, not that one :)

Ask HN: Found an awesome site for freelancers but forgot the name. Any ideas?

OK this is driving me crazy. A few weeks ago I stumbled across this really elegantly designed site which lists some brilliant freelancers (designers, writers, developers, etc).Only problem is that I've lost the bookmark and can't remember the name. Thanks David! That'd be great. She'll be in touch.
Thanks Sebastien. Will send you an email shortly!

Ask HN: I need a huge favor - Anyone with ties to fashion-related startups?

(Yep, crazy!). It's a...

I'll wait it out a bit longer before calling it quits on these sites.

Thanks for the link - very good tips there.

I think you're right with dribbble. I've also been looking into Behance.net and Creattica. Have you had good experiences with directly approaching designers?

Ask HN: Are freelancer sites (e.g. Odesk, Elance) useless?

So I submitted a few gigs to freelance sites like Odesk, freelancer.com, elance etc. I used the handy guide provided by Derek Sivers on how to write up a good "help wanted" ad.I was looking for a skilled designer to produce a simple UI.After about 2 minutes, I received around 8 applications on odesk and freelancer.com. By the end of the day, I had around 40 applications in total.Problem is:...
