Re:Himalaya: CLI to Manage Emails on Monday December 09, 2024 @02:16PM (#42369442)
Himalaya is not interactive: while Pine is a TUI, this is a CLI. Very useful to integrate emails in scripts easily.
It took me a while, tbh..

yea.. but how much you get? 0 to to 8GB, random?

but the wi-fi is "compatibile with wi-fi", which is a pro on my book.

so you know when things get hot...

Re:Tell HN: GitHub is no more usable without mobile devices on Monday September 11, 2023 @05:41AM (#37464884)
KeePassXC stores user/password and otp. Not the most secure way to use otp, but surely it's handy.

Looks like any terminal with a "▸" as prompt. The rest is the output from bat.
I usually go with

    echo 4

    > bzr clone https://tycho.sytes.net/TinyClock/
    > cd TinyClock
    > bzr checkout
    > ls
    controller.h LICENSE Makefile view.h
    controller.m main.m README.md view.m
Re:Jamulus ‒ Play music online. With friends. For free on Thursday November 25, 2021 @03:26AM (#29339367)
That's a little different. While Jamulus tries it's best to do realtime audio, ninjam works deferred. Players agrees on a bpm and a number of bars, the software will record each bar and send to other that will cache them and then play them on the next loop.. so every player will hear others one phrase late. (sorry for non precise terminology...)

Re:Funkwhale – Decentralized, self-hosted music server on Thursday November 12, 2020 @04:39AM (#25068146)
It's the same. It's not "who is?", it's "have you a license to do it?". If you have a license to reshare spice girls works, and you want to use funkwhale, well, you can.

Nine Inch Nails have CC licensed albums. So "being famous" and "music that is under a CC license" is not mutually exclusive...

Re:Funkwhale – Decentralized, self-hosted music server on Thursday November 12, 2020 @04:24AM (#25068034)
Yes, as long the musician licensed his/her work in a way that let you do it. In some cases you also allowed to reuse that music in your work.

Take a look at:

Re:Ever look through .exe's in notepad? on Monday August 12, 2019 @10:01AM (#20675469)
that's not "zero = owner dead", but it returns 0 if call was succesfull or the value of EOWNERDEAD if something was wrong:

If mutex is a robust mutex and the process containing the owning
thread terminated while holding the mutex lock, a call to
pthread_mutex_lock() shall return the error value [EOWNERDEAD].
as in "the current owner of the lock is dead without releasing it"

(edit: fix formatting)

Re:Matrix.org Is Down on Thursday April 11, 2019 @08:49AM (#19633858)
matrix.org and riot.im are down for "emergency security maintenance", "to address issues with http://Matrix.org 's production infrastructure. This is not a Synapse issue."
