I imagine if you add a comma to the end of the `"z": 2` line, Black will not try and push the dict onto a single line.

Mazda? Their entire infotainment is just HTML and JavaScript which was quite a shock to discover.
Re:I like Svelte more than React (it's store management)
on Sunday June 01, 2025 @10:19AM (#44151077)
If you're writing Svelte code today and you need shared state, I would recommend you start by looking at the Context API (https://svelte.dev/docs/svelte/context). For manual control of data updates you'll probably still want to use Stores (SvelteKit does!) but I'd start with Context first.

I'm likely giving a talk on this exact subject in January (depending on scheduling). If you're curious about the various approaches I've tried, you can reach me at this username in all sorts of places.

UGH this is a problem with all Hondas before ~2014. Drives me nuts. It's even worse when using it with Google Maps since the audio is delayed.

There have also been some curious outages server-side that have caused the feeder to not actually feed.
You would think an IoT device like this would default to using a locally stored schedule or something.

The beta model and the production model are both quite easy to remove with a small amount of pressure. The production model takes a bit more work but not much.
This video is from when I had the beta feeder but the same principle applies: https://youtu.be/YHq1xHL8p2o

on Monday May 23, 2016 @04:56PM (#11756915)
As the article makes quite clear, mobile payments are overrated. However, I have experienced a situation where mobile payments have been better than existing systems. Not too long ago, I discovered some fraudulent transactions on my credit card transaction log. My bank, Chase, immediately issued me a new credit card. Apple Pay updated within less than 15 minutes with the new card while it took a number of days for the new credit card to arrive in the mail.

I haven't seen any of the pod cars yet but I've seen a couple of the Lexus SUV's. I've even seen a few in San Francisco but they're not Google's. I seem to end up biking next to the same one every week or so in Dogpatch. It's a dark red Nissan Leaf without any labeling. I wonder what company owns it.
