That assumes free will... It may seem an absurd topic, but it's far from closed [1].

The more magical the code is the harder is to figure out how it works."

My point is that it makes business sense for Amazon to lure this old-fashioned crowd, and it could do so by implementing a simple feauture such as spending control.
Ask HN: Hard caps on AWS spending?
Hello! I want to try out AWS, but am always afraid of potentially getting an unexpectedly high bill.I'm the kind of guy who pays some extra for unmetered hosting, just in case, even though I know it's not necessary. It looks like I'm not alone, though [1].I was wondering, since AWS is big in HN, if any of you knew of a way to instruct AWS to, say, not exceed by any means $100 monthly. Thanks in...

I'm comparing this with my VPS values, and would like to know if this is the sum of some column in top. Is it? It looks like it's pretty close to the sum of the SHR column. Does this make sense? Thanks in advance.

Ask HN: Will Ubuntu for Android also run undoked?
Greetings! I'm extremely excited about the newly announced Ubuntu for Android [1] [2]. However, to me it would be critical to be able to access Ubuntu also when the phone is not docked... or at the very least the terminal portions, with the ability of apt-getting any relevant package on the go.Could somebody shed some light on this? Thank you very much in advance.Cheers.[1]...
"The KornShell-derived conditional command (double bracket [[]]) was removed from the shell command language description in an early proposal. Objections were raised that the real problem is misuse of the test command ( [), and putting it into the shell is the wrong way to fix the problem. Instead, proper documentation and a new shell reserved word ( !) are sufficient."
The entire section on test is full of advice on the proper use of test(1).

echo $IFS | od -bc
only makes sense as echo "$IFS" | od -bcThere must be some level of affiliation then, right?
Or, as somebody wisely put it, "All good planning eventually degenerates into work."
