The “Apple Aluminium Armrest” article for using the new touchscreen MacBook gave me a laugh.
Suggestions for second hand the last of the “pre” smart TV’s.
What’s models. What sort of year? What to look for?

Many art movements arise in strong opposition to societal forces. This article captures early indications of what 'post-AI' art and creative movements might start to look like and focus on.

What sort of error range then?
Nope.
You are not accounting for the inherent error rate; around 20-40% as I understand it. Reducible with tokens but then not cheaper than humans.
Sure a good analogy is physical vs robotic; but if it was say burgers. It would be a current McDonalds burger vs some new robot place that makes then half price or cheaper but every aspect of the burger is off quality wise; missing ingredients, mistaken orders, incorrect ingredients, weird toppings; BUT DARN ARE THEY FAST.
You’ve gotten faster but you’ve added an error rate that either you expensively inspect for or it moves to the edge.
If we want our bank to add suppprt for GrapheneOS and specifically for “tap to pay” on GrapheneOS, without Google pay, what technically and specifically should we be asking for?
Any idea which banks support “tap to pay”. Usually on Android or iPhone users access Googld pay or Apple Pay.
Word is that banking apps that implement their own nfc interface within their app can be used for “tap to pay” on Graphene.
Curious as to how we can know which providers support this.
> The decision signals the immediate return of one of the world's most popular games, Fortnite, to Apple's Australian app store from today, after a six-year hiatus.
> In publishing his reasons, Justice Beach said Apple had contravened the Competition and Consumer Act with an "intricate web of terms and technical measures", and ordered the company to pay 85 per cent of Epic Games' legal costs from the months-long trial.

> The lesson is the same as always: extra security is a worthwhile investment. Disable password authentication in favor of ssh keys. I for one am going to buy myself some hardware keys today. :)
Question: Where to get these hardware keys? Which are good options and why?

You actually want to restore the river to be more resilient as the earth warms, fish returning empowers many other parts of a river ecosystem.
Install dedicated water tanks to store water, evaporation rates are much less.
They need to try. I also feeling like there’s likley growing demand globally; like they mentioned. A need for greater digital sovereignty.
Yeah this does seem smart. They get to stick to the knitting on working on making the browser better while building ploug features that are really only desirable for enterprise customers; access controls, compliance features etc.
We all know there a big hole in the revenue that needs filling if they are to get away from relying on Google search funding. This seems much closer than inventing side quests that each draw attention and bring risks around making new products successful.
It’s especially clesr that while Rails as a framework will be in use for some time to come, that it’s past time to overhaul the products governance and move away from the projects founder DHH and into a community stewardship model.
This seems like just what is needed for a healthy next step and I think long term having this project community run and led will lead to new rounds of evolution and progress not currently possible with a single supreme leader in charge.
Excited to see where this takes us.

This lines up with basic manufacturing principals, run the machines faster so as to give away quality leads to costs spiral in rework and inspection efforts. That or real end user demand eventually drops when quality issues are eventually experienced by customers leading to them to react, complain publically and seek alternatives.

For any electricians here, how common is it to get electrocuted / electrically shocked? Are we talking rarely or yearly or all the time?
As a software developer I’d like to imagine that good practices mean professionals are rarely (aka once every decade or less) shocked but a friend who is the son of an electrician said they wouldn’t do it as their dad said he gets shocked.
Change the name.
Graphene for most of us here already means Graphene OS.
It feels off that as community members you either didn’t know this or just straight up chose ignore this or worse; chose to ride their brand; even if it’s technically allowed doesn’t mean everyone likes what your doing. It’s just mental overload with an avoidable namespace conflict.
TLDR; ask the LLM for a new name. Change it now when it’s low stakes.
Are they trying to kill look-ups for CC meaning “creative commons”?
Then keep the colon “cc:”
Higher Education was once a top export for Australia. Not with the way this is going, with policies like these.
Propaganda machine running on overdrive on this one. Quick quick make some extra accounts to post doubt. Pathetic.
Non ai post as top post. We did it guys!
But seriously, it’s nice to see other news on here.
Important we keep covering broader tech things.
