It's possible a form of AI (depending on your definition of the term) is powering some of these features, but it's used as an implementation detail, not a marketing term, which I appreciate.

That `git cd` command is a great idea! Thanks for sharing.

You can also enable auto-squash by default:

    git config --global rebase.autoSquash true

Hey than3, I think IggleSniggle's comment[1] about "not reading what they wrote" was replying to Shadonototra's comment[2], not yours. So "they" is you; IggleSniggle is questioning whether Shadonototra read your comment.

This feels more like an advertisement for Fig than a genuinely interesting issue?
Re:Dvtm: A dynamic tiling window manager for the terminal on Saturday April 10, 2021 @05:34PM (#26765338)
I would love to switch from tmux to dvtm + abduco, but dvtm doesn't have 24bit/truecolor support.
The snippets in the article are not using React with hooks. I imagine it would be more similar to your example if the snippets used purescript-react-basic-hooks[1]

You can also use React Hooks in PureScript with purescript-react-basic-hooks[1].

Or for a more native PureScript approach to single-page web apps, check out purescript-halogen[2] and purescript-halogen-hooks[3] (created by the author of this article).

`brew install coreutils` goes a long way to help with stuff like that.
Re:Building a Linux Desktop for Cloud Native Development on Monday February 03, 2020 @10:24AM (#22224904)
Of course it would create opportunity for Linux users, because Linux became the monopoly. All the BeOS people are now out of luck. Your analogy doesn't make sense.
Re:Lesser Known Coding Fonts on Sunday October 20, 2019 @01:07PM (#21305428)
Surprised nobody has mentioned PragmataPro

https://www.fsd.it/shop/fonts/pragmatapro/

Probably the most complete and polished programming font I've seen. If you like Iosevka, you'll love PragmataPro.

I've been spoiled by Iosevka and PragmataPro's narrow characters, so now I can never go back to "normal" programming fonts...

Re:Ask HN: How to make iOS more private and secure? on Monday September 02, 2019 @11:02PM (#20863415)
Off the top of my head:

- Change your DNS resolver to something you trust

- Use a paid VPN service (bonus points if it disables your internet when it's not connected to the VPN)

- Enable erasing data after several failed password attempts

- Disable notification previews on the lockscreen / when locked

- Disable Siri, control center, widgets, etc. on the lockscreen / when locked

- Disable Touch/Face ID when entering a risky location (airport, etc.)

- Disable location services, camera, microphone, etc. for every app you can

- Disable sending analytics to Apple and app developers

- Use a privacy conscious search engine (DuckDuckGo, StartPage)

- Install a good content blocker (1Blocker)

- Don't use apps like Facebook that violate your privacy

That's all I can think of for now.

Looks like they locked the thread and removed it from the homepage.

I understand they are set in their ways and aren't interested in changing the language in ways some people want, but removing any and all posts that criticize them feels more like censorship than anything.
