Why Inflation Erupted: Two Top Economists Have the Answer
"On March 9, SVB lost over $40 billion in deposits, and SVBFG management expected to lose over $100 billion more on March 10. This deposit outflow was remarkable in terms of scale and scope and represented roughly 85 percent of the bank’s deposit base. By comparison, estimates suggest that the failure of Wachovia in 2008 included about $10 billion in outflows over 8 days, while the failure of Washington Mutual in 2008 included $19 billion over 16 days. In response to these actual and expected deposit outflows, SVB failed on March 10, 2023, which in turn led to the later bankruptcy of SVBFG."
Silicon Valley Bank's board of directors and management failed
Although the topic of coffee / coffee shops is niche, writing about the places I visit, I am able to touch upon my diverse set of interests (art, photography, technology, design, reading, writing, general curation, psychology, philosophy, history, etc.)
The website is a compendium of all the coffee shops I've visited in the metro Atlanta area over the last five years + dozens more in the travel section. The monetization angles I have tried include the Membership (reader-supported) model and the Sponsorship (company/brand) model (with a nod to Packy McCormick's Not Boring newsletter for the "Deep Dive" approach, which I am a big fan of). Coffee shops may also post paid ads to barista jobs on the "job board" section of the site.
I wrote more about publishing content online, monetization strategies, and more in a recent blog post, for those curious [2].
I recognize that this forum is more focused on products, but I think some would appreciate the effort in trying to scale a blog/website with incremental products/services available to a dedicated audience.

And yes, Lightroom is much faster than Aperture (I've tested both).
