Yep, seems to be working consistently for me now. Updated the title.

White House Petition: Restore Net Neutrality

http://1.usa.gov/KjLn6B

On January 14, 2013, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit that struck down the Federal Communications Commission's open internet rules, commonly known as "Net Neutrality" because ISPs are not classified as "common carriers". This ruling allows ISPs to charge companies for access to its users and charge users for access to certain services. Fewer companies will be able...

Re:Google Drive for Google Apps for Business is Down on Wednesday April 17, 2013 @09:00AM (#5564188)
So far the Apps Status Dashboard only shows an outage for the Admin control panel. http://www.google.com/appsstatus#hl=en

Things seem to be cascading. Unable now to access gmail, calendar and drive.

Any cheaper than $50 per user per year and you're in the free range. Just to keep this in perspective, $50 a year is a pretty good value when you think about what you're getting in Google Apps.
Re:Using Google+ to Track Severe Weather [Experiment] on Thursday July 19, 2012 @11:26AM (#4266433)
so far the weather event has been lackluster... mother nature is not cooperating. still the change for scattered severe storms this afternoon...

Using Google+ to Track Severe Weather [Experiment]

https://plus.google.com/u/0/events/cg2p24s78ch3n5261uqoubq29ko/114282530294727349974

When Google+ introduced Events, I thought it would be interesting to see if they could be used to collect images, videos, discussions during and after a storm. With the threat and chance of severe weather in Indiana today, I created a public G+ event for anyone in Indiana today. It could be a total flop, especially since it's hard to predict the weather. We'll see what happens!

Can someone please explain why some people don't like RSS feeds?

Years ago I started using RSS to consume content and stay on top of what's going on. Today I find that there are still an unbelievable amount of people who don't understand the concept of pulling in content to a place like Google Reader as opposed to individually visiting sites (I'm talking about people outside of our techie world). I mean, RSS isn't THAT complicated, right? Then I hear spats...

Good suggestions, thanks.
Right, I understand that. But when you have thousands of docs, most of which you haven't shared (works in progress), no one is going to have the link readily available. So it's essentially a complete outage from the average users standpoint.

Don't get me wrong, huge fan of Google Apps. Just becomes a big issue for clients when they can't access their data, even if it's just minutes -- as you well know.

Update: The problem with Google Docs List should be resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support.
I have a client who uses google apps for biz. They're a law firm. When docs are gone, productivity is gone. Ouch!
Update from Google: We're aware of a problem with Google Docs List affecting a majority of users. The affected users are unable to access Google Docs List, but we've provided a workaround below. We will provide an update by August 26, 2011 3:14:00 PM UTC-4 detailing when we expect to resolve the problem. Please note that this resolution time is an estimate and may change. Affected users will see a 404 when accessing the Google Docs home page. You can access individual documents by clicking on the link in the original sharing email, or if you have saved the URL for that document.
Re:How many hours/day do you spend on social sites? on Tuesday August 23, 2011 @11:05AM (#2916846)
I'm looking for actual time spent. We'd all have pretty high numbers if we counted our "connected" hours. I'm usually connected in some way until I go to sleep, but actual time spent on social is probably about 1 hour/day for me.
