For a moment there, it seemed we were witnessing what http://www.mongodb-is-web-scale.com/ had prophesied:

"Now I've contracted hemorragic e-coli from cleaning cow stalls and I'm bleeding out my asshole. I'll be dead soon, but that is a welcome relief. I will never have to witness the collapse of the world economy because NoSQL radicals talked financial institutions into abandoning perfectly good datastores because they didn't support distributed fucking map/reduce."

Not necessarily. The numbers could all be the same.

Yes!
You might want to improve the page load speed. Some quick thoughts:

- load above-the-fold content first

- combine the JS to a single file

- include the country flags and other small icons as inline base64 PNGs

Re:The real reason you can't hire developers.... on Thursday December 15, 2011 @08:28AM (#3356007)
Other red flags include:

    "API's"
    "potentially/maybe/sorta/kinda/probably/possibly"
"Machine learning ...." <-- too many dots, space after "learning"
How, precisely, does your service interact with my code? What does an error report look like? This should be on the front page.

Also, "How can I pay for errorception? I'm working hard on getting a simple enough payment mechanism in place, that plays well with the laws of my land. As you can imagine, I need to start making money soon enough, and this is my top priority right now." doesn't inspire confidence in your product's reliability or half-life.

I've been wanting to do this. I'm in NYC. I'll be less busy soon.

This should be done.

It seems one can get the International Edition of the 4th edition from Abe Books at a greatly reduced price:

Nitpick: It's not an apartment, it's a shared lab space near the Marcy Projects. I visited a while back and it was cool.

Awesome work, Mark!

What about `sqlite3 -version`?

Can we haz 3.7 and its Write-Ahead Log?

Since they will probably block this soon and get Google to flush its public cache, here's are some examples (with user tokens redacted):

Where?
"It should also be noted that Glitter uses HTTPS S3 URLs to eliminate the need for the maintiance of public/private keys for Sparkle"

Eliminate? That assumes you can trust both Amazon and the CAs. For some products (Tor, Bitcoin...), that's insane.
