Re:Why I gave up on Asana after 15 minutes on Saturday January 02, 2016 @05:34PM (#10828319)
I'm a Basecamp 2 user but have started to migrate over to http://getflow.com which has a nice combination of ordinary lists and cards which you might I want for some specific projects.
Re:Introducing Apple Music on Monday June 08, 2015 @04:02PM (#9681965)
Don't forget the the annoying red notification bubble when a new song has being added to a playlist. Which never needs a notification bubble.

That simple thing will make me switch instantly to Apple Music. The Spotify app was so much better a couple of years ago when just a few people worked on it.

What? Wikipedia is for everyone. Most of the worlds population does not speak english.

As a swede I use both swedish and english Wikipedia. It depends on what I'm looking at. Swedish Wikipedia contains more in depth content on a lot of topics.

Oh Investors at Trello. With Money.

Future headlines in 1-2 years: Trello acquired by Microsoft/Google/Yahoo

Future headlines in 2-3 years: Trello team joins product X, and the product is discontinued. "It has been an amazing journey"

Re:Why We Do All-Hands Support at Olark on Thursday April 17, 2014 @03:38AM (#7602388)
I love the talk. It's too sad to see Wufoo these days. All their great ideas about support disappeared after selling it to SurveyMonkey.
Re:Vizify acquired by Yahoo on Wednesday March 05, 2014 @01:23PM (#7348705)
Sad to hear that their company and product failed. Did anyone use their paid service?
Re:Show HN: I redesigned the Microsoft employee badge on Monday February 17, 2014 @06:26PM (#7255217)
And these points should justify an ugly badge?
I would recommend you to keep out of Eastern Europe. The people there wants to believe they have left their history behind but they haven't.

When I visited Budapest the police acted as Stasi and on the local metro they only asks foreigners for valid tickets. Very unfriendly. I would never recommend anyone going there.

Re:Dploy.io - Ship code from GitHub, Bitbucket or SVN/Git repo on Wednesday September 18, 2013 @10:43AM (#6405550)
My guess is that it works like the beanstalk deploy feature: http://beanstalkapp.com/features/deployments

Which is pretty neat for simple apps

Re:Lessons learned: working remotely as a cofounder on Tuesday August 27, 2013 @12:11PM (#6284313)
Interesting to see that he mentions Hipchat, Google Hangouts and Skype. Isn't that 3 tools for doing the same thing? Even though Hipchat is just text communication.

Hard for team members to know what tool to send a message with.

Re:How we - the Kims - use Basecamp at home on Thursday June 20, 2013 @06:56PM (#5915460)
If you sign up for a free trial you get a 37id which you keep after canceling your trial.

Basecamp personal doesn't offer the calendar he talks about though.

Re:Ask HN: Do QR Codes work? on Sunday December 16, 2012 @04:14PM (#4929562)
In Stockholm we have a candy machine with a QR code to download their app to make a purchase. If you want to app you have to use the QR code since they don't tell you the name of the app.
Re:Show HN: Responsive Email Templates on Saturday December 01, 2012 @07:00AM (#4857432)
So how does these look on Outlook 2000 - 2007? Love the initiative but it's impossible to use a template that doesn't work with Outlook.
It depends on your target audience. We did our app in english and it didn't catch on in Sweden before we translated it to Swedish.
