Yep, there's pretty much only one rule that matters. You can do anything you want as long as it's to people below you socially. All other rules and laws come second to that one.
The game generates the worlds using automation even when playing normally. Have you even played Minecraft?
Claude is so absurdly bad about false triggers for security. It kept triggering when I asked it questions about how to plant some tree saplings I got because somehow that was a security risk.
Anthropic is a joke of a company.
Are you sure that AI model progression and the height of your family members are 35 is related? It seems unlikely but I guess you'd know better than I.
Let's look at the past ten years.
Food has gone way up in cost and down in quality.
Private equity bought out the healthcare system where I lived so now it takes months to get an appointment and the quality of care is horrible.
Not that matters since the health insurance I pay hundreds for a month wouldn't cover anything anyways because it's through UHC.
My job keeps getting rid of positions because they want to "do more with less" but it just means I'm doing more work while being paid the same.
If I buy a new car it will spy on me and sell my data. The state DMV already sold my personal info without my permission and now I get constant spam.
Private equity bought out many of the restaurants I liked going to and ruined them.
Third spaces in my city have been mostly destroyed.
The social media sites I used to use were overrun by bots.
I can't upgrade my PC because hardware prices have gone insane.
Gas is like $5 a gallon now so I can't really justify going on any trips anymore.
Private equity bought up most of the rentals where I live and so now I pay much more for rent on top of crazy monthly fees while the building I live in is falling apart because they refuse to fix it. Housing prices have also gone up so much that I have no hope of owning a house.
And more.
AI has fixed none of these issues.
That pretty much sums up my experience. Everything is more expensive and worse at the same time. And it feels like we're being screwed over from every direction and in new ways every day. People keep talking about this tech is supposed to do so much but everything just gets worse.
People in the city I live refuse to allow any buildings over three stories tall.
Weirdly enough, we have a constant housing shortage
There were some people using the public API to try and get info on what's going on but Reddit is now conveniently taking that away too.
They kind of did the opposite. Started off open source until they had gotten what they needed from the goodwill of the open source community, then made it closed source to make sure they wouldn't have to return any of that goodwill
We already have a global abundance. Doesn't seem to be doing the average person much good right now
Flock being only accessible to people who are statistically more likely to beat their wives doesn't make me like it more
That seems sensible enough to me. I'm not sure why people are acting like it's impossible to succeed if you're not a YC company. I'm pretty sure plenty of non YC companies have done just fine
Now if only they'd actually deliver a vehicle
Don't worry, the car won't last long enough for it to be all that bad in the long run
Obviously it's hard to prove such a thing but I've always wondered if the owners of Reddit actively support having these operations run on their site.
I've seen cases where the admins delete comments that talk about the issue
I think they just didn't do a good enough job at advertising it. Even the salesmen at the dealers didn't seem to really understand the Volt
That's pretty much how the Chevy Volt worked. It was an incredibly good system in that car and GM did their usual thing and killed it
And for the dumbest, most Amazon reason possible
Flagging shouldn't be a thing at all. If you like a comment, vote it up. If you dislike a comment then vote it down. Any functionality beyond that is pointless
We really need a better board for talking about this stuff on.
Sometime you should look and see how many of those comments you made on reddit are instantly shadow removed.
You don't get any up votes because nobody ever saw those comments to begin with.
Flock cameras do the same thing to me so I guess I'd better call the cops.
I have a theory that there are far fewer genuine users on Reddit at this point than you'd expect.
They said should be under public control, not is under public control.
I'm almost certain people tell jokes even outside of Reddit
Opus 5 is so bad it made me cancel my subscription. It flags so many dumb things as security/ safety risks and refuses to answer
Water (in the right dosage)
Some of those are networked I think?
Really? I'm curious as to why
