Beautiful to see it, hope Germany is next!
Outrage over a single low-quality paper, of which there are thousands across academia, misses the larger point. The real issue is the systemic problem within academia, where creative thinkers are often stifled early in their careers. Researchers find themselves forced to align their work with the direction of funding sources or their superiors' interests, resulting in a significant misallocation of resources. Annually, billions of dollars are buried in research that lacks true innovation or independence. This is a far more critical issue than the work of this literal nobody dean. What's even more funny is that the same individuals quick to criticize such low-hanging fruit often do everything in their power to avoid scrutiny themselves, especially regarding the inefficient use of tax dollars and the insignificance of their research areas.
Okay so I self-host Vaultwarden, what do I need to do to fix the vulnerability? The article mentions another flavor of the self hosted docker image though.
do you place bets on your own predictions?
How did you get the word out? Did you approach different sports teams?
Hi, big fan of Rebass, Theme UI..although sometimes Theme UI with Next.js doesn't work right out of the box, are you still the maintainer of these libraries?
And how did you get the word out for your boilerplate product, just on Twitter? Do you have any tips on how to find a niche where a good, well maintained boilerplate is missing and how to make it profitable?
Thanks
I want to come up with such an idea and do the same but I always think "wow my idea is amazing" but then after a few days I realize that it's not really what the market needs. Do you have any tips on how to improve this ideation process?
lmao typical redditor who only reads the headline of an article. there's literally a factual mistake in every third word of your comment
>hosting these static sites, and we are still in the early 2000s
eh no?

Do you mind sharing the differentiating / finding a niche approach that has worked for you?
I feel like finding niches for regular consumers is much easier than finding a niche where one can attract business customers.

Looking to get back into the (Micro-)SaaS game again, after taking a break for a couple of years. Back then not everything was oversaturated just yet, very basic services like: - weather forecast based alerting
- distraction removers
- uptime checkers
- scheduling tools
- slack bots
- file converters
- social media filters
... and similar ideas still could be pulled off but I feel...
bro you don't even have a valid cert on your website
It's really difficult for AWS or any other serverless provider for that matter, to achieve a kind of "bulletproof and safe user experience" across different offerings that encompasses everything that has to do with billing/monitoring/alerting and then also cover all kinds of potential customer scenarios (like the function calling itself, as one example).
For example, it's totally understandable that the alarms can be specified per region, why shouldn't it be like this?
Also the global AWS billing $300 alert seems to have worked but you were asleep as far as I understand. If it was a call-out style alert, then you would've noticed in the middle of the night and could've stopped it.
The only thing I agree is frustrating is this:
> CloudFront includes the AWS Shield Standard feature, but somehow, it was not activated for this case (Lambda@Edge calling itself via CloudFront).
Maybe you can argue that you weren't made aware of this but idk... keep us updated
yeah it's a scam just don't donate to these people
Nice blogpost but you're just in the wrong industry. It's really your own fault if you don't get offers thrown at you daily with the skillse you have. Stop messing around with solidity and this rotten industry and start writing real software.
I'm super happy at IBM Cloud, the whole public cloud area is modern, fun and innovative
IBM Cloud is pretty good to be honest, you're going too far with your dismissive analysis. Many IBM Cloud offerings are fast and reliable and come with great support in most cases...
there are actually more than a dozen ways to cash out that I can immediately think of but nobody is cashing out if you look at the on-chain metrics and CEX/DEX data
I strongly disagree. This is as close to planned economy as possible. Just that this time the planning organ is a weird hybrid mix of the private and public sector, technically very close to the official definition of of the word "fascism". A marriage of the multinational conglomerates and the globalistic supranational state-esque constructs like the EU.
This will be a huge disaster, I work for one of the largest car manufacturers in the world and everyone is shitting their pants. Germany the leading "pseudo-green" energy country can't even produce enough green energy for 10% of currently existing electric cars, there's no way on earth to have enough for a electric-car-only scenario til 2035. What are these politicians thinking? The only way they can make this work is by going full YOU VILL OWN NOTHING mode and cancel private property as we know it.
not paying taxes on your property is different from not owning something and missing a recurring payment.
that's a ridiculous cope, they rent the car they do not own it, the bank owns it
