i use a compiler and not an LLM because the compiler is deterministic. i can trust that the same code input will always (for the same version of the compiler) produce the same machine code as output. the LLM will not.
also science, research. as much as LLMs are able to do here, they can't do everything. and even with LLMs the more people we have doing research the faster we can progress technologically and also socially.
the real question is, who is going to make these investments?
exactly, and it has been brought up before. not in this form, not from this perspective, but anyone who spent a modicum of time to think about this, would or already did come to the same conclusion. anyone believing otherwise is deluding themselves.
AI is a reflection of humanity, and if we want AI to become better, then we ourselves need to become better. that's the only way out of this.
fortunately recently i also have seen a bunch of articles arguing that AI hasn't helped any company yet save money.

on regional and local trains i have to agree the difference is less apparent.
i guess the main benefit is that first class areas are going to be less packed. i am not sure but it may be the case that you are not even allowed to stand in first class if you have a second class ticket.
so if the train is crowded then that crowd won't be allowed in the first class area, and it is unlikely that you buy a first class ticket without a seat. but if the train is only lightly filled it probably makes no difference at all.

the whole thing with a cleaning fee is either to allow the advertised room price to appear lower (but doesn't airbnb now factor the cleaning fee into the price shown?) or alternatively to make longer stays cheaper because the cleaning fee is not applied for every day).
i know the but ticket system from los angeles 25 years ago. you could use each strip only once because you had to hand them in. i think you got a second strip on the next bus so you could potentially make an unlimited chain. if people would throw them away then only because they got one they didn't use. you were also not allowed to use the strip for a return trip on the same route.
that's a strange argument.
an important factor in improving your life is integration in society. but that only works if you live among people already integrated, not if everyone around you is also not integrated.
the same reason why it's hard for people to escape poverty uf everyone around them is poor too.
vienna has day tickets that cost as much as two single tickets but you can only buy them on a strip of 8 which you can use one day at a time over an unlimited period
for example if i spend a several days or longer in a place and instead of washing and reusing dishes as i would at home, i never wash any dishes but use up all the available dishes instead then i would not consider that normal.
dirty dishes also contain leftover food which can rot, or dry up, making it hard to clean, etc, you don't want to leave that stuff out for to long.
bed sheets on the other hand i wouldn't wash unless i am there long enough that i want to reuse them myself. the rest is just keeping things tidy and not leave chaos behind.
in my opinion the problem with germans speech laws are not the limitations, but the risk of misinterpretation and the resulting uncertainty on border cases whose outcome depends on the opinion of prosecution and judges.
on the other hand, in germany unlike the US, even private entities can not limit your freedom of expression as long as it is legal (and not disruptive).
they are primarily of chinese origin. i know them from living in china and travelling in asia. how is that a stereotype? and more importantly, what's gross about it? or how is it racist? i didn't say anything about chinese people, nor did i claim that all chinese eat porkbuns. that would be a possibly racist stereotype.
sure, it's a generic name, and you could name anything that is a bun with pork a porkbun. but that doesn't negate what i said.
i have lived and traveled to many countries on four continents. but apparently i have not travelled enough to ever come across porkbuns that are not the chinese kind. apologies for my ignorance.
i suppose german Speckknödel could translate to porkbun too. my bad.
in most cards games i know, the joker is a positive wild card, because you can use it as a fill in for any other card you are missing. how is that not positive? and the goal here is to point out that a positive association for joker exists. the existence of negative associations does not negate that.
porkbun is chinese food. not my favorite. to much dough...
