Re:Cerumenogram: A new frontier in cancer diagnosis in humans on Sunday September 21, 2025 @12:26AM (#45320057)
According to the study: The 27 selected as potential VOMs biomarkers for cancer provided 100% discrimination between the cancer and control groups. This new test can thus be routinely employed for cancer diagnoses that is non-invasive, fast, cheap, and highly accurate.

Yeah, I’m not sure if it was considered in the study, but I like taking new paths just to see what I stumble upon.

Leave every day better than you found it. No matter how small the change.
Re:How to prolong lithium based batteries on Saturday June 22, 2024 @06:29AM (#40757885)
Plugged-in phones should use power directly instead of passing through and degrading the battery.

Try Anki.
There should be an option to use the charger directly without involving the battery.
Did you find the loops better than the orange ones from 3M?

Hmmm with that url I wouldn't send it to someone at work. Huge risk of being misinterpreted.
Re:Use deep fake tech to say stuff with your favorite characters on Saturday December 25, 2021 @09:33PM (#29689145)
Uberduck[0] has a great selection of voices

I can't unsee the Grim Fandango pidgeon in it.
As for your restaurant example, I would gladly pay for it. I didn't pay enough attention to many things in my life until I got to know them better.
Re:Show HN: Poulette – A Color Palette GUI on Tuesday March 30, 2021 @08:15AM (#26633695)
It would be great if you could implement subtractive colors (like real pigment mixing > yellow + blue = green). Digital "pigment" mixing is very rare to find on the web.
Re:Brazil Suspends WhatsApp Payments on Thursday June 25, 2020 @08:25AM (#23639841)
As a Brazilian I think this measure is very flawed. In more than 30 years, the national industry regarding technology has gone from insignificant to nonexistent (excluding some specific monopolies with low end "junk").

These rates only harm the population and businesses that need to import technology to maintain work operations.

Re:Ask HN: What are the biggest obstacles to vertical farms? on Tuesday August 27, 2019 @09:49AM (#20809529)
My take is that more complex cultures need a symbiotic relationship with bacteria, fungi and insects to thrive.
Re:A JavaScript-Free Front End on Tuesday March 12, 2019 @12:21PM (#19369815)
And contrary to the article, it is possible to change their style!
LucasArts and the best adventure games ever made, like Monkey Island and Grim Fandango.
Re:IPhones start slowing down after a year on Thursday December 21, 2017 @12:53PM (#15981044)
Woah. I have a 2013 macbook that was getting pretty sluggish even for browsing. Thankfully the battery is easily removeable and I could test this. After removing it I noticed a great difference! I'll try to live with the dangers of a sudden power loss from the cable unplugging.

Why throttle the ac connected devices?

Re:When Will the Tech Bubble Burst? on Sunday August 06, 2017 @11:14AM (#14941612)
It's there any way to obfuscate my browsing data? As in a program that visits random sites. I've searched but never found something like this.
