Re:Open-source, uncensored alternative to CharacterAI on Friday October 18, 2024 @12:18PM (#41880839)
seems you're using both open & closed source models

i just tried it out. solid, but doesn't seem as uncensored or capable as e.g. https://uncensored.com/ai

btw: do u know whether c.ai actually parses tone/emotion from voice (or just from the SpeechToText stream?

What are the top items a solo software founder (of a treaty country) seeking e-2 might not have in their application/background or want in the outcome of an e-2?
Solid sample. Let's see the list!

I'd like to do more of this. but every time i use typescript in react/nextjs i end up hitting breakpoints in transpiled js code instead of the TS source, esp. in my tests/running single-files.. and i've tried so many debug configurations
Re:Waterloo Style on Sunday April 30, 2023 @02:06AM (#35760045)
great way to put it.

>Shallow?

too many deep inheritance typescript libraries being built today I find!

Re:Waterloo Style on Sunday April 30, 2023 @01:59AM (#35760020)
Waterloo grads #1 code quality of any school I've worked with (incl stanford & mit). This makes it clearer why that is.

I find it tricky keeping 'data-1st' code my frontend (which is eating more & more of backend as the years pass)

Looks like botox and fillers to me
Monetary policy cycles are for insiders to use information to make more $

it's emergent out of the incentives e.g. the Cantillion effect

it wont be around forever with AGI making this so obvious

>The demand excess has to start somewhere.

What do you think putting more money into circulation does to demand & nominal purchasing power?

An excess of money causes increased demand per unit dollar and subsequently, higher prices and inflation, through mechanisms including the Cantillon effect, changes in monetary velocity etc.

If i deposit more $ in your bank account, what happens to your nominal demand?

>Unless people who can afford it are hoarding groceries an increasing monetary base shouldn't be affecting grocery prices

you don't get it

money is worth less when there's more of it. especially 40% more of it.

all the inputs to your groceries (labour, energy, materials, transport etc.) thus nominally cost more

when inputs cost more, your groceries cost more

Imagine being a rational human looking at g7 central banks adding 40% to the money supply in <2 years, and your focus is "everything is a factor, there no one culprit" for price inflation.

I look forward to open source ai economic simulation tools - when you change variables like m2, you'll see what happens to inflation - and there'll be no more ambiguity

For now: ask gpt-4 yourself & get a lesson

it's dark..

You do not get it.

This inflation is due to insiders (central bankers) printing money. Covid & ukraine are convenient excuses. Look up where this money ended up.

Solution: Opt out of centralized monetary policy
Re:ChatGPT Plugins on Thursday March 23, 2023 @01:49PM (#35278574)
Let insiders & preferred users build a plugin, then, slowly, everyone else on the waitlist
Re:ChatGPT Plugins on Thursday March 23, 2023 @01:46PM (#35278528)
"Plugin developers who have been invited off our waitlist can use our documentation to build a plugin for ChatGPT, which then lists the enabled plugins in the prompt shown to the language model as well as documentation to instruct the model how to use each. The first plugins have been created by Expedia, FiscalNote, Instacart, KAYAK, Klarna, Milo, OpenTable, Shopify, Slack, Speak, Wolfram, and Zapier."

The waitlist mafia has begun. Insiders get all the whitespace.
