Re:Artificial Analysis v5 and the benchmarker's dilemma on Friday October 30, 2026 @07:10AM (#50302370)
AA's intelligence score is based on many benchmarks, you can go look at them all individually if you'd rather focus on specific areas.
size doesn't really have a correlation if u look at the hallucination benchmarks. this is mostly mitigated thru post training imo. also, deepseek 4.1 is notorious for hallucinations, so kinda ironic to mention it as an example here =)
Re:SpeedCrunch 1.1 on Sunday October 25, 2026 @04:22AM (#50229388)
same, not a fan of the new icon tbh
that nemotron model is such a dog, like all the other nemotrons

Re:11 year old unsoundness bugs found in Rust borrow checker on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @05:07PM (#50078768)
Rust scores a lot higher on the safe scale than Python scores on the fast scale. Also, who are these mythical people that call Python fast?
Re:Mistral Large 4 on Tuesday October 06, 2026 @08:30PM (#49986231)
this will be quite obsolete by the time the weights are released. still though, it's always good to see open weight releases

Welcome to Costco, I love you.
Re:When did Google get so f-ing weird? on Sunday September 27, 2026 @11:10PM (#49873135)
of course they can do math, how is this even controversial in 2026?
Re:42x faster prompt lookup drafting in llama.cpp on Sunday September 27, 2026 @03:07PM (#49869801)
hopefully someone on the team sees this and fixes the situation, otherwise, if it's good, i'm sure somebody else will open the PR. thanks for your contribution.
Re:OpenAI agent hacked Australian government website, PM says on Thursday September 24, 2026 @05:34AM (#49828293)
they don't always operate within the parameters tho. some N% of the time they decide to do whatever they feel like doing. multiply that times a lot of agents and you invariably get a rogue agent every once in a while.
Re:Mercury 2.5 LLM hits 770 tokens per second on Thursday September 24, 2026 @04:27AM (#49827839)
way less of a blocker these days due to sparse attention...
Re:How often do you think about the 1893 World's Fair? on Wednesday September 23, 2026 @07:01AM (#49814205)

Re:Claude Code now reads AGENTS.md if there is no Claude.md on Friday September 18, 2026 @05:55PM (#49760789)
do you just manually type out your important instructions every time instead of being smart and putting a few lines in a text file?
Re:Shapelearn Qwen 3.8 27B (13.1 GB VRAM) on Friday September 18, 2026 @07:59AM (#49753127)
prismml's title is very misleading. in their own paper the model is at 75% of coding scores.
Re:Xiami Mimo 2.6 Live Training Dashboard on Wednesday September 16, 2026 @10:59PM (#49735905)
mimo 2.5 has been a big underperformer since shortly after it's release imo. i cancelled my sub after the first month. purposefully using 2.5 right now is just handicapping yourself for no reason.
Re:Xiami Mimo 2.6 Live Training Dashboard on Wednesday September 16, 2026 @07:50PM (#49734640)
oh man, you're going to be blown away then once you use a real model
Re:How to build a diffusion language model on Sunday August 30, 2026 @10:54PM (#49505086)
good stuff, no mention of confidence tho, recommend having a look at diffusiongemma and others.
Opus 5 literally benchmarks higher than Fable
Re:One Night in Uzbekistan on Saturday August 22, 2026 @06:57PM (#49404674)
Good on them for the retraction. It's good to see science at work.
it's not a schooner...it's a sailboat
i would assume a model this size would require finetuning tbh. even functiongemma recommends that.
Re:DeepSeek V4 Flash 0731 on Friday August 07, 2026 @06:00PM (#49216735)
my experience is the same, but deepseek is planning on increasing prices soon, which will make it a lot less attractive
yep, agreed. little bit smarter than deepseek 4 flash, but a little bit worse at tool calls.
the cats can traverse a fence, hole or not, so not sure that's relevant?
If it makes you feel any better, my apology was genuine.
Re:Show HN: Workaround – Unstar GitHub Repos in Bulk on Tuesday July 21, 2026 @11:16PM (#49001415)
