This thread is obviously being astroturfed by x.ai bots.

I've literally never heard someone say they are excited about Musk's CSAM slop bot yet there are like 10 of them here.

nvm use && npm i && npm run dev

Re:All my thoughts after 40 hours in the Vision Pro on Saturday February 10, 2024 @06:19AM (#39325321)
You’ve never found comfort in a show, movie, book or video game?

That’s actually really sad.

> Over the past few years, I made the decision to totally cut obscenities out from my speech.

So the author made a personal choice and now believes anyone who doesn’t also make the same change is an idiot?

Sounds like something a person with a weak intellect would do.

Friendly FYI -- the link to your resume on your website is broken.
Rimworld is also great on an M1 MBP.
Where did anyone say they were personally conned?
Re:Threads has passed 2M sign ups in the first 2 hours on Thursday July 06, 2023 @02:51AM (#36612228)
Lack of mainstream adoption.
Seems like asking someone to draw a red line on a white piece of paper with just a black sharpie marker.
Re:Brave Browser introduces vertical tabs on Thursday June 01, 2023 @05:34PM (#36157673)
I see the name “Brave Browser” and my brain just refuses to engage. Their marketing team ruined the product for me before I ever got the chance to try it.

Is it ethical or legal for companies to scrape GitHub stars for spam purposes?

Just got an email from [email protected] with some spam and he mentioned that he got my information from the stargazers list of the Gatsby repo.Is this something I should bother reporting to GitHub? I will likely never star another repo again because it's been proven to be a good source of spam.

This apology is written in an entirely self-serving tone.

The author is clearly a narcissist.

Re:The Art of the Cover Letter on Tuesday February 09, 2021 @08:06AM (#26077012)
If an org has ever rejected me for not submitting a cover letter, I consider that a bullet dodged.
Could you provide a couple examples of the types of groups you're referring to?
Re:Slack is down on Monday January 04, 2021 @12:24PM (#25634630)
Very strange to be so upset by an accurate and concise statement, while offering an alternative that isn't even factually true.
As long as there's an option to remove them, I look at ad-supported games as a demo. I'll always gladly pay to remove the ads if I like the game enough to play it more than a couple times.
> I saw many flaws and bugs.

Can you tell us about (or link us to) some of the many bugs you found in Firefox?

> When Trump became president, was it still Obama’s administration?

The current president picks up where the previous one left off -- they don't start with a clean slate and no historical baggage.

I Google'd "Porsche Taycan 30000" and found these sources for the 30k pre-orders claim:

* https://thedriven.io/2019/07/31/porsche-taycan-pre-orders-su...

* https://techcrunch.com/2019/07/29/porsche-taycan-reservation...

There is almost-certainly no source for the "most of those customers currently own a Tesla" statement, because that's not something Porsche would ever disclose.

Ah, so like an Audi, BWM, Mercedes, Acura, Infiniti or Lexus?

Typos happen. In fact, you made one yourself just a couple hours prior to ridiculing me about mine:

https://news.ycombinator.com/reply?id=21312002&goto=threads%...

Don't worry though... I won't make fun of you for it, because I'm not so desperate to prove my intelligence to internet strangers.

I wouldn't patron an establishment that utilizes such a system, out of respect for the waitstaff.

Anyone who has ever worked at a call center knows just how soul-sapping these types of metric-monitoring systems can be.

Re:NordVPN confirms it was hacked on Monday October 21, 2019 @10:33AM (#21312701)
Who said anything about being happy about a VPN provider knowing anything?

It's about choosing between the lesser of two evils.

Re:Gitlab: don't discuss politics at work on Thursday October 17, 2019 @12:50PM (#21283921)
Excellent analogy! I'm so happy that telephone carriers do nothing to prevent my phone from being called by spammers 10x daily.
Re:I tried to hack my insomnia on Friday October 11, 2019 @03:32PM (#21227653)
Will you talk to my boss and get her to start letting me come in and go home whenever I want every day?

I tried telling her that my body doesn't run on the same schedule as the rest of society, but all she did was laugh in my face.

Thanks in advance, doc.

> Because both are just a political stances.

White supremacy is a racist belief, not a political stance or faction.

Why are you using a false equivalence to make a point?
