Re:Collision on Monday November 02, 2020 @12:05AM (#24964969)
I was kid when this happened around 200 km from my place. I can clearly remeber all the graphics which were used in next day newspapers to show the mid air collision. Today reading about it gave me chills...again.

sad,the way you have presumed marine life behaviour.
Re:Microsoft's underwater data centre resurfaces after two years on Tuesday September 15, 2020 @03:02AM (#24478580)
are you trying to say we can afford to alter sea because its alot than land ?
Re:Microsoft's underwater data centre resurfaces after two years on Tuesday September 15, 2020 @02:27AM (#24478417)
They are only discussing about how they can make it more efficient. As far as I understand one kind of cost cutting they are aiming is energy and money required in "Cooling" systems, ya I read about less failure cases too. But putting a heat generating device under water will have adverse effect on underwater ecosystem surrounding it.
coincidentally I watched Our Planet High Seas episode today. They showed how crucial Phytoplankton is. No matter where you are in world the air you are breathing is somewhere coming from these microscopic plants. This fact made me stop and think even these tiny organisms contributing to make earth habitable, What we do as human beings ?
I am glad I shifted to iPhone a year back and was able to convince my wife to shift too last month. Why people who can afford a price of iPhone buy other brand is beyond my understanding. When apps are not even reviewed by anyone on Android then it certainly puts the user at more risk compared to iOS user.
Re:Apple is now a privacy-as-a-service company on Tuesday June 04, 2019 @05:04AM (#20093253)
In some countries clean water/air and internet are still luxury my friend
Re:Apple is now a privacy-as-a-service company on Tuesday June 04, 2019 @04:58AM (#20093218)
Thats more of a business interest, Apple dont want to focus on other platforms, rather promotes its own ecosystem
Re:Apple is now a privacy-as-a-service company on Tuesday June 04, 2019 @04:32AM (#20093069)
I think its still fine, as long as someone can afford it. We can't ask them to be fair its just take it or leave it. These days privacy is a luxury, rather than a fundamental right.
the only reason I will try it because its from Mozilla, an org I have been following from many years otherwise I dont beleive in have I pawned or sth. It looks very fishy providing your email ID, ok if I am not pawned but I ended up providing my email id, which might be sold further :|

they have definitely changed, they have re-aligned themselves with what matter today. There earnings has just surpassed $100 billions which is the direct effect of their re prioritizing the product lines and philosophy. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/jul/19/microsoft...
its an irony that on accessing the link in Chrome, it warns me about privacy error,

"blog.torproject.org normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Google Chrome tried to connect to blog.torproject.org this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be blog.torproject.org, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Google Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You cannot visit blog.torproject.org right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later."

Re:Alternatives to Google Products on Monday June 11, 2018 @03:58AM (#17282583)
Thanks for list but I am always worried about what if the new ,safe, better privacy provider is bought by Google or <any company which we are trying to avoid> ? Referring the recent history we have seen many good products just bought up and they changed their business model e.g WhatsUp
Re:Uber disabled Volvo SUV's safety system before fatality on Wednesday March 28, 2018 @01:48AM (#16695661)
but if I don't want that feature then my need of disabling is superficial
Re:Uber disabled Volvo SUV's safety system before fatality on Tuesday March 27, 2018 @03:56AM (#16686290)
The autonomous vehicle era is in same stage which once passenger planes were in
Re:Uber disabled Volvo SUV's safety system before fatality on Tuesday March 27, 2018 @03:53AM (#16686279)
I wonder why they bought volvo's when they don't wanted to use there radar system or were not able to use the radar system. And is it that easy to disable such an important feature which Volvo brag about ?
it would be more interesting if we can get to see IL2CPP tool.
