Is it racist to call food in a style that originated from China "Chinese food"?
It's not racist to call it the Chinese coronavirus.
No, it is worse. Some idiot on Facebook with a conspiracy theory isn't in the same league as the propaganda arm of the Chinese Communist Party.
I’m not sure what the hubbub is about that. The US President’s job description is literally to put America first.
Housing, food, water, Internet access, cell phones... all more or less essential goods in the modern world. How dare anyone expect to be paid for them?

Water doesn’t actively try to give itself to be drunk. Is it ok to consume?

Contempt of court is a thing.

Except that people become contagious before they have symptoms, and we don’t really have a good testing regimen.

Are you quoting from the Abstract or something? The claims are what matters.
Re:U.S. will suspend all travel from Europe for 30 days on Thursday March 12, 2020 @11:27AM (#22557827)
Sure, but I’m not obliged to give any deference to improper purposes like delegitimization of the President.

They're wrong, for purposes of American presidential elections anyway.

Anarchism? Hardly. It's one of the handful of intentionally anti-populist features of the Constitution, along with the existence of the Senate.

He did win. The only way to say he lost is by focusing on a measure that everyone agrees isn't the one that matters.

> like Rusty of kuro5hin found out the hard way, poor guy.

What happened? I haven't even thought about kuro5hin in many years.

Skip it. A casino is probably only a little bit less bad than a cruise ship.

Patents provide one way of stopping this kind of predation, but everybody hates patents so we have to pretend otherwise.
> Just because there aren't any humans there, doesn't mean it doesn't already belong to someone.

There isn't anyone there, human or otherwise.

> And just because we are able to take over a moon, doesn't mean we have the right to.

Sure it does.

A random asteroid impact could end the human species next month. If we spread to other worlds, our chances of survival go way up.

Even if the prices were the same, the public doesn't give a shit how a company treats its workers. The whole premise is flawed.

Yeah, and I don't use grocery discount cards either. But doing it via camera gives a ton of data beyond just what I buy and when.
DCA is an acknowledgment that you don’t know where the bottom is.

Gotta eat. Some kind of shopping is essentially non-optional unless you grow all your food.

And using cash isn’t opting out of real-life shopping, it’s just opting out of one payment method.

Grabbing a receipt at a kiosk is a lot quicker than manually scanning your items.

My main problem with this is how invasively creepy it all is.

Investing money that I don’t anticipate needing for decades, I’m happy to keep buying all the way down.
If that’s a problem, maybe fuel should be more expensive.

So don’t make that kind of mistake going forward.
