Re:Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (July 2026) on Monday July 13, 2026 @11:22AM (#48894110)
I'm working on a technical interview service that brings up a real production environment and also lets users use agents and our system tells the interviewer how the candidate really did.

Also, in this environment, users can have a full cluster with Kubernetes, Docker, or normal Linux, with a database and all sorts of dependencies.

Please check it out and let me know what you think: https://easyenv.io/

I think emails is not really the best way to manage errors. Maybe something like https://sentry.io/ works better
Re:Unix – The Hole Hawg of Operating Systems (1999) on Saturday July 31, 2021 @06:56AM (#28017002)
this article is really old and I think UNIX and links are not just for huge construction Before the current company that I'm working with (they forced me to use mac for day to day jobs, we can call this Unix as well but I don't like it), I used to use Linux for everything. Literally everything. My da is old but even he is comfortable with Linux distributions... But I liked the way this Author described Unix

Re:I3wm and Ubuntu 20.04 server without any useless packages on Wednesday April 29, 2020 @10:31AM (#23019679)
Debian can be a really great base for something like this. But I just assumed that most people are more comfortable working with something like Ubuntu.
Re:I3wm and Ubuntu 20.04 server without any useless packages on Wednesday April 29, 2020 @10:26AM (#23019622)
You are right. maybe it is better to remove all apps from the repo and put them in another place to let users choose based on their need
Re:I3wm and Ubuntu 20.04 server without any useless packages on Wednesday April 29, 2020 @10:14AM (#23019465)
You are right about those packages. I removed them, I will try to make better packaging system for diffrent usage
Re:I3wm and Ubuntu 20.04 server without any useless packages on Wednesday April 29, 2020 @10:12AM (#23019444)
You can include them based on your need instead of adding them because someone else likes to use them
Re:I3wm and Ubuntu 20.04 server without any useless packages on Wednesday April 29, 2020 @09:12AM (#23018670)
You are right, I should update readme for more detail. but mainly there is no dm ( display manager ) also I didn't add most of the gnome related packages

In this project, you can install i3 from the Ubuntu server without installing anything that you don't need.
Re:Slack’s new WYSIWYG input box is terrible on Friday November 22, 2019 @11:39AM (#21607198)
The main issue is it is not consistent with Jira, Github, and other famous services. I think these services should create a cross-editor and all other services should use it. it is really socks to use a different editor in each place
