Great code is not required to make money and does not neccessarily help increase revenue. Customers cares more about issues being addressed now than how well it is designed underneath.

The question is more of is it required. I want to see weather there are many companies that have created hard to maintain code, but were able to become successful because of just producing a product that people wanted.

I originally showed HN my website
http://chatoften.com and got some great feedback. I've moved the application to the IPhone. If any of you have an Iphone please tell me what you think of the experience.
This is an app that lets you chat with another authenticated facebook user. You'll both see each other's faces and names.
Thanks.

Hi, what issues are you having with it? I'll look into it. Can you please tell me the version of firefox you are using?
Thanks tomp, I was deploying a new version and I seemed to have caused an issue. It should now be fixed.
Thank you, I'll look into that.
I'll need to fix that. The user's is suppose to update once a session is established. I need to set that beforehand.
By the way, what browser are you using?
I hacked this together to see whether there is a group of people that prefer not to chat in anonymity. I tried out a few anonymous chat sites and most conversations involved male genitalia or some perverse comment. I hope people can start a better conversation when they reveal their name and picture.
Please check it out and give me your opinion.

I would suggest you read "Joel on Software". It can teach you how to better communicate with your technical founder and programmers and to understand the general technical challenges in undertaking a project.
Thank you agent86. Your feedback is appreciated.
1. The (null) is a bug and I will fix that in the next release.
2. If you don't turn off notifications, you will always be notified on the day of the birthday. The notify days before is an additional notification that you can receive. I will try to clarify this on the settings page.
3. The anniversary support sounds like a good idea. I'll try to add that to the next release.
In addition, I was thinking of adding notes to track birthday gifts to give a person. Do you think notes would be useful to you?
Thanks again for your feedback.

I would recommend companies with a low P/E ratio, low debt, and a history of earning a profit. Here are a few.
ARO,CSCO,MSFT,WDC,RSH,GES,APPL
You should then research each company and understand how they are making money and try to determine whether they will continue to make a decent profit.
I am not a professional. Take this advice at your own risk.
I would like to see an example of a successful use case. I can't seem to find any gigs.
I submitted a universal app 6 days ago and still am stuck in "Waiting in Review".

Hi everyone,I want to share my latest creation. I have a few beta users using it, but would love more feedback.I spoke to some HN users and they suggested I revamp the layout, so I did that before posting it to the HN site. Please check it out and let me know what you think. http://www.statusscheduler.com
Hi flignates,
I just released a website to manage updates to your fan pages. Would you check it out and tell me what you think?
http://www.statusscheduler.com
The splash page looks fantastic.
I put my startup on the service. One thing I have a problem with is that it exposes my personal email by default. I think you should make it private by default.
How often do you send updates to your fans?
I think facebook fan pages are useful in re-engaging users. I equate it to an email list. You can gather fans like you gather emails for your email list. When you push a message to your fans it is similar to pushing an email to your email lists. Both don't drive more users to your site unless the user chooses to share the email or the status message.
