No, but i know what linux audio was prior to Pipewire. I didn't have the weird audio issues i have now.
what benefits does Wayland have over x11?
and what benefits does Pipewire have over Alsa? (i don't use jack.)
many different genres. Ambient, Noise, Classical, Electronic, Lowercase, Piano, Jazz, Omnigenre, etc.
all my music is free... forever.
would it allow a playlist?
so after a week of recovery; i resumed this morning and suddenly everything just stopped functioning properly via the localhost. I tried starting over and no avail. the initial curl was frozen, and the localhost site just went in an everlasting loop of loading.
unfortunately; i don't have a bluesky account
it's taking a bit longer than expected; as it is a learning curve. I am having fun learning this all. Thank you.
The site is fairly easy to transverse. Plus i can take my time and let it all sink in to internalize the various inputs and things that i will need. So far this is exactly what i was looking for. Thank you.
i will give it a try it seems like an interesting site overall too. thank you.
i will look at Caddy after a good night's sleep.
My books; wouldn't really fit in there. It would be akin to mad scientist musings from over a decade ago; that have been happening near exactly as what is happening through out the world today.
(the books i could host on neocities though.) as i would use that site to impliment the sharing.
Yes. Soundcloud has a 3 hour limit; meaning with my 200 hours of music, i would require a lot of accounts, and i have a song that is 3 hours and 5 minutes long. And i have songs that are as short as 4 seconds long.
Bandcamp has a limit on the size of files you upload; which make it even more difficult as a lot of my songs are longer than 25 minutes. (which is precisely the amount their limit is.) Then if you sell something you can get up to a larger file size; unfortunately that is only about double the amount; and the said 3 hour song is 2.1GB on it's own.
Music distributors are unlikely to upload a couple dozen albums because i use excerpts in a creative manner of cartoons and anime or television shows. Which are not allowed on most of them. Plus i have no control over the release day.
All of the ones we both know about are individual song uploads, meaning the album that has 67 songs (released in 2019) with a bunch of five second to half a minute songs, it becomes mildly tedious.
I agree with the P2P idea as well, it is my last resort though. (as i still need to obtain the drive.)
Internet Archive; has the easy drag and drop of a folder and then type in some metadata for the entire release and wait about 20 or so minutes and it is released, no wait time, no individual song uploads, and practically unlimited. (with in reason.)
Most algorithms stick to one genre until you seek another, then it sticks to that other genre. While this is fine for a lot of people; it's not acceptable to me as my favourite music tends to range from a lot of genres.
My library is about half and half. though if you don't include my own music; it would be primarily physical. There are some recordings that are only accessable digital.
I have three moods; listening to music i haven't heard before, listening to music i haven't listened to in a long time (like over 6 months), or listening to some music that i have been recommended to by friends or the rare times of letting an algorithm decide for me.
I usually utilize P2P as a library kind of thing; listen to an album or so from an artist or band or composer... then delete it; while i keep the ones i really enjoy and would do with the second mood.
I rarely ever stream; it's the bane of musical diversity.

Now; i use the archive to archive my prolithic output of music. (i have over 300 albums.) The music is of my own creation.Since the DDoS attack of 2024; Archive has been a hit or miss on the uploading factors. And many of my releases have specific dates for release. With the uncertainty of the uploads happening it causes me to break focus on working with music and watch the upload to make sure...

I am kinda depressed over these factors. I have used linux since 2015 and really never ran into problems until the past five years.I am a composer with a prolithic output; and had a steady workflow for most of the years until musegroup bought out audacity and musescore. (which i have been able to get musescore 2 in a few distros; as i prefer this over any of the post-musegroup alterations.)the...
