Chia Coin miners use hard drive space as proof of work.
I'll never forget ordering an Intel i9900k processor and receiving an unsoldered microchip for a random RC brand.
Not once, but twice in a row; then Amazon accused me of lying.
I just use them for video streaming, now.
'Wokeness' is just another way for some people to have power over others. If you don't comply with their demands of political correctness, or you fall out of line in other ways, you are bullied into submission.
It would also probably invade their privacy in other ways, especially if they are not given enough time to use the restroom. It appears drivers have been defecating and urinating while on the move, in their delivery trucks. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez even got into a Twitter feud with the verified Amazon News account over the ordeal, and posted a screenshot of an email complaining about "poop" coming back in returns; they were using the boxes or return envelopes to defecate in.

A solution would be to somehow implement bigger cabs with the ability to quickly "go" when you need. Another solution would be to give drivers a break when they need and ease up the pressure.
If anyone can initiate the singularity, it's John Carmack.
I take atorvastatin for high cholesterol; it says don't eat grapefruit on the side of my medication bottle. I never really thought about why, but this gives me more reasons to avoid it. Although now I have a huge craving for grapefruit juice, of course.
I'm actually surprised the list wasn't way longer with much weirder queries.
So basically price alerts lagged the system.
Arizona; they do not pardon felonies. They will let you "restore your rights" after a number of years; which I have done, but it was expensive and required representation. I can vote, but I can't do much else.
I know people that committed crimes in the 60s-70s-80s and were convicted but no one would ever know because the record keeping at the time was temporal.
My one felony from 12 years ago for smoking pot in public has cost me more money/jobs/promotions/relationships from Google searches and background checks than anything imaginable [in my opinion].
I believe that many criminals simply go back to crime since they're unhireable now that information is at everyone's fingertips.
Debt to society is never paid anymore. We have the Chinese "social credit system" in the U.S.; it's simply not announced the way theirs is.
This isn't uncommon. Twitter is another prime example. Their "rules" state that you cannot (since 2009) make a three letter handle in your username, and yet @AOC was able to acquire hers. I don't have any problem with this but it does bring up the fact that there seems to be certain people able to skirt the rules because of "who they are". What about famous people getting verified on Twitter when the verification program was supposedly halted? It goes on and on, but the fact of the matter is "money talks".
Do you hire felons (ex-felons, with clean record for 7+ years)? Being in the cannabis industry is bound to have attachments that were previously on the south-side of the law; if not - why? ; if so - hi
This is the best thing I've read in a long, long time.
Mr. Wolfram, how does it feel to be a god? :D
The sad part about this is the fact that there are many youngsters in the comments of the page begging for instructions on how to make it, with none being revealed.
Seriously though, the guy is VERIFIED. Literally should tell you that everyone is going to want to be in your mentions, especially businesses. You're like an advertising magnet.
I got pay walled to read this. Cleared cookies. Paywall climbed; now reading about pay walls...
Synchronize your threading.
I still use this technique.
I always wondered about why that was put there, and considered it a waste; now I know otherwise. Good information here, thanks.
I'm curious to hear more about "rogue law enforcement". :) Batman, or a bunch of bikers beating up the spouse of a domestic violence victim. I need more information.
I have mugshots on that site for charges that were DROPPED. I HAVE PROOF OF INNOCENCE. I even have my paperwork stating that the charges WILL NOT BE REFILED. I emailed the administrators at mugshots.com and they refused to remove them without first paying a fee. This is exploitative. They now won't even allow me to pay the fee since I "threatened" them (with a lawsuit).
Don't feel bad for these guys.
With free speech, come idiots that abuse it and say hateful things.
These are sacrifices necessary in order to live in a free society.
You can't just take freedom of speech from the people you don't like to listen to; you would be taking it away from everyone.

Ha.
I think you meant parole.
Probation is a "probationary" period that prevents you from going to prison, by substituting it with a period of time where you do classes, have a job, go to school, and/or community service also.
Parole is a period of time after you are released from prison where you are still technically a "prisoner" but you are being let loose to see if you do well in society for a little while, but with extremely high restrictions that can put you back if you sneeze wrong. The federal prison system no longer supports federal parolees.
In my state, Arizona, if you wait 2 years after you are "off paper" (completed parole/probation) you can have your rights restored so you can vote (this is for state felonies, not for federal felonies as far as I know). You can also have your record "sealed" where it still shows you are a felon, but as long as you didn't do anything dangerous(violent) or sexual in nature you can have the court hide what you did. This works out for people that performed financial crimes and are having a hard time getting a job as a cashier or anything to do with money. Or a person who stole a car and is trying to get hired as a driver.
I'm not sure I understand all the way. Qubes is more for people looking to have their internet connection completely private, and almost everything in the way it's run (preferably from a VM, I guess) is for that reason. Steam is best kept on Windows because it would be pretty obvious since *you're connecting to your Steam account and you would lose the privacy from it. Linux is also not the best environment for your video card, either, because nVidia doesn't have open-source drivers available. Now, yes, there are drivers available for some version of Linux, but they are generally close-source and very likely not the best for privacy reasons.
I understand they have a disorder, and yeah, it's "not that bad", for SOME. But come on. My son has autism. He is 13, and still cannot speak. He has to have 24 hour care. I understand that autism is a spectrum, but realize that what they're talking about here is much different. It's like saying someone has a paralyzed pinky versus a being a quadriplegic.
